FINALLY! ASC scheduled for Sept 19 and CONSULAR INTERVIEW scheduled for SEPTEMBER 20! Crossing fingers and toes and ears that everything goes off without a hitch!

I saw in an old thread you flew to El Paso and then went to CDJ to meet your fiance. I am planning to do the same..what method did you use to cross the border? taxi/shuttle/walk across?

How are you planning to get to Juarez? I am planning to fly to El Paso and take a taxi but not sure if it is safe..

Got our letter today, too!

Received 'Packet 3' aka Consulate invitation letter today! Planning to schedule our appointment tomorrow!

Yeah I got my NVC case number in about a week as well. Happy things are moving quickly for you finally!

Congratulations on your wedding, chica! So happy for you! We are SO close to the interview. Process is a little different in Mexico, Packet 3 is just a letter to bring to interview, all forms are online so we already filled out all forms and are making appointment for September!!!!!!

Glad to hear they shipped your invitation letter, too. I have also spoken to Alex Torrence/Torrez (I think I've spoken to everybody there, I called every day!) Your comment to me got cut off, but interesting to hear that you don't need letter to attend interview...it still scares me to go without it but I think we are going to make our appt. and if we get it by then great if not we ...

CDJ Consulate sent out packet 3 on August 25. Hope we get it soon. Planning to schedule interview in mid September!

How did you know when the consulate received your case, from calling the #703 number? How long did it take them to receive it? NVC sent our case to CDJ on 8/8 and the people at the #703 tell me our case is not in their system yet - it has been four weeks!!

Did the Consulate confirm receipt of your case from NVC over the phone before your received packet three? Did you call the #703 number to check on it at all? We are waiting four weeks since NVC sent our case to CDj and they are saying they don't have it, no packet 3 yet

Did you ever receive confirmation from the Consulate that they received your case and had sent out packet 3? NVC sent our case to CDJ on August 8 and CDJ is still not showing our case in their system....almost four weeks later...which seems weird to me! Did the people on the #703 number confirm to you when they received your case?

Thanks for letting me know they printed the letter there. Did you have to wait outside the consulate for hours to find out, or how did you get it? How did your interview go?!

I know, I keep hearing conflicting information about everything. Did you ever call the 703 number or submit an inquiry thru the website? We want to schedule our appointment for mid September but we are not sure if we can REALLY get the invite letter printed at the consulate or need to receive it in the mail - I am hearing lots of different things!

Got a reponse to my inquiry from the Consulate saying they have received my case even though when I call them they say they do not have it in their system!! Who to trust? Should I make appt yet or not
