When/how will I know when NVC receives my petition from VSC? Will I get a letter/e-mail?

Hi! What happens after NOA2? I know more or less, but not details. How will I know when NVC has received the petition/when they have sent it to the consulate/and when the consulate receives and sends out packet3? Will I get a letter or e-mail each time? Do we have to wait to have the invitation letter to make the appointment? Thanks!

That's horrible! I see your fiance was from India? Did you ever found out if he did have some criminal past? Did he have a tourist visa? My fiance has a tourist visa so I don't understand why he is in security checks if his tourist visa was already approved a few yrs ago...I am going to move to his country if we dont receive response soon:(

yeah its same guy then i have been tracking cases woth numbera below and above mine and many are still pending presumably bu same adjudicator my case number ends in 25

Were you ever given any reason why your case took two years? Were you in background checks? What were the results of all your contacts with Ombudsman, senator, etc, during htis time? Bless you for waiting as long as you did, I am about at the end of my rope..

I seriously think we are being processed by the same adjudicator and he is really slow. Does your case # happen to end in 19?

Also yes, I have lived in Mexico before, so I am willing to go live there again, although obviously I would prefer the states I am so sick of waiting.

I got an e-mail saying my case is "pending review" - hasn't it been pending review for ten months?! SO frustrated. Did you receive a response?

We did get notice back in April that we were undergoing Administrative Processing/background checks. You should try your senator, they should have a direct lead to someone in the Vermont office. They may not be able to get your case approved but can tell you if you are under BG checks too or what the holdup is.

Ok, so apparently 'expedite' doesn't mean that we were next in line for processing. Back to looking at jobs in Mexico!

Thanks for your support in that silly thread! I thought our expedite meant we would be soon, but I think it was just another ploy from VSC to buy time....was looking at houses and jobs in Mexico today...I'm seriously thinking just moving there at this point.

Do you know were you and yout fiance under additional background checks...they claim we were...maybe we have the same adjudicator. Sorry to hear ur waiting so long too..
