  1. Six months of paystubs and a letter from the employer will be good evidence of current income - Likely that USCIS will not accept the house as an asset as they prefer assets you can quickly liquidate (Cash in a bank account, stocks, precious metals, etc.) It will only complicate things. Using assets to get qualified on the I-864 is a giant uphill battle best not fought if current income is provable.
  2. Lack of proof of current income is likely the culprit here - Current income is king as @Crazy Cat stated above especially with the negative total income from the most recent tax year. Also I want to emphasize what was said above - You get only one shot at the RFE response. If proof of current income is not available, getting a different joint sponsor will likely be your only option for a response.
  3. This is what you will do.... My address changed between the time I filed the I-129F and when we got approved. Jaycel just told the Consular Officer at her interview and he said, "No problem, just give CBP the right address if they ask at the Port of Entry." CBP did ask when she arrived and she gave them the new address. No issues at all. Don't waste your time trying to update it with USCIS.
  4. Thank you! I see the Cleveland office "80% of cases" are processed in 22 months - Denver is 21 months so pretty much twinsies LOL Hopefully we will hear soon 🤞
  5. The medical is actually very easy to get scheduled at SLEC. We found multiple options available when we went on their website to schedule for Jaycel. If by some chance you have difficulty getting it done before the interview, they now allow you to do the interview without it and will issue her a 221(g) Refusal, pending receipt of the medical exam. It's the same if she gets flagged for sputum testing. If that happens she can go to the interview and will be refused pending completion of the medical. I moved Jaycel to Manila in an AirBnb for the 3 weeks it took to get everything completed (Medical, interview and pickup of visa at the LBC Mall of Asia branch) It worked out great. Then she went home to say goodbye to her family for a week, went to Cebu to get her CFO and then departed Manila for the US a couple days after that. We filed our ROM at the Philippine Consulate in San Francisco in December. Monthly we have been emailing the DFA to get the transmittal details of them sending it to the PSA and have been getting the runaround. Just yesterday we finally got someone to tell us what is going on. This is what they said: We apologize for the delay of the transmittal of your Report to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Please be informed that we are still waiting for the new original sets of registered reports from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco as the initial reports we have received were photocopies. Thank you for your understanding. So the consulate sent the photocopies of the reports and kept the originals when they were supposed to send the originals and keep the photocopies... (Gotta love that Philippine Bureaucracy)
  6. That's awesome! Thank you. From some of the reports I'm reading here and in other places, it seems that if you have a strong case where they used to waive the interview, it appears they can't waive them anymore so they just bring you in to answer the yes/no questions on the I-485 and make any corrections if needed and then send you on your way. Kind of a, "Okayyy... we did the 'interview' and NOW they're approved". Just going by the letter of the procedure type thing. So happy you guys got past this stage Now Jaycel and I just have to wait and be patient 🤮 because I hear the Denver field office is slowwwwwwww. From what I see in the past stats from VJ members here, it's anywhere from 7-12 months just to get an interview scheduled here 🤪
  7. We have been doing an upload monthly with joint bank and credit card statements and I joint utility bills along with a few pictures and other evidence as we get it. Is that how you did it?
  8. Today's stats: May 5, 2025 22:25 MDT November 2024 Filed I-485 Stats • Approved: 3,659 (+132) • Denied: 267 • FingerprintScheduled: 146 • InterviewCancelled: 201 • InterviewScheduled: 7,607 (+145) • Processing: 29,025 • Received: 648 • Rejected: 105 • RFE: 401 • Terminated: 140 • Withdrawal: 11 • Others: 54 First time in over a week that interviews scheduled have outpaced approvals…. Curious if that trend will continue as it has been previous weeks
  9. Congratulations!! 🎉🎉 And thank you for sharing!
  10. Log into your online account, select "My USCIS". When that page loads, go to the top and select the dropdown menu for "My Account". In the dropdown, select "Profile" and you will find your online account number there
  11. 100% save this for the Embassy interview - Great advice here
  12. If you are able to obtain the birth certificate then you must get a certified copy, make a copy of that and submit it. Keep the certified copy to bring to the interview if you have one. That rule above is only if the birth certificate is unobtainable based on the Department of State reciprocity table: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html
  13. Only if your medical exam abroad was conducted more than 12 months prior to your filing the I-485. You are good to file. Just include the copy of the DS-3025 in with it.
  14. Do not include "evidence" of an event that has not happened yet. In the future when you are submitting information to USCIS, do not redact any information. Everything you submit to USCIS is classified, usually at the "Confidential" or "Secret" level. Redacting information is just inviting scrutiny and possible RFEs.
  15. You may get an RFE for uncompleted vaccinations. I would file with what you have and see what they ask for. They should not reject you at the lockbox because you completed the medical exam abroad and it's important to get the package filed.
  16. Not true.... We sent a request 3 times, a week apart despite them telling us to wait 30+ days each time and got our case number on the 3rd request and there were no flags or otherwise adverse effects. Jaycel had her visa 2 and a half months later
  17. Personally, after 6 weeks I would be submitting the public inquiry for with them every week. When you inquired 20 days ago, did you ask them to update the file with yours and you fiancée's email addresses and give them the correct emails? Sometimes they transpose the email address incorrectly from the I-129F into the DoS system. If not, then when doing your next inquiry, after asking for your case number say something along the lines of: Please update our case with the following email addresses: Petitioner: XXXXXXX@email.com Beneficiary: XXXXXX@email.com
  18. If you can get a copy of the DS-3025 (Vaccination Documentation Worksheet) scanned and emailed to you quickly then do it (They are required to give this to you at the end of the immigration medical exam) Then look at the back of the form and see if the box "K Visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements" is checked and the form is complete, you should be good. If you can get it quickly, file a copy of that DS-3025 with your I-485 as a reminder to the Adjudicating Officer to look for the medical report in your A-File. If you can't get a copy quickly, don't delay your filing of the AOS packet waiting for it. They should see that you are adjusting from a K-1 visa and know to look for your medical. The copy of the DS-3025 is a good reminder to them to do that but isn't required in order to file.
  19. There are no more online sessions available for CFO. It is all "in-person" now. Bring copies of everything you uploaded to CEAC and bring the "original" (certified true copies) of the civil documents required by the embassy. Don't know if you've seen this page specifically for the Manila Embassy but it gives you a good list - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MNL-Manila.html This can vary greatly case-by-case but in an uncomplicated case 2-3 weeks is a good estimate
  20. Today's stats: May 4, 2025 22:10 MDT (Happy Star Wars Day to my fellow nerds ) November 2024 Filed I-485 Stats • Approved: 3,527 (+135) • Denied: 259 • FingerprintScheduled: 146 • InterviewCancelled: 195 • InterviewScheduled: 7,462 (+131) • Processing: 29,315 • Received: 648 • Rejected: 105 • RFE: 401 • Terminated: 139 • Withdrawal: 11 • Others: 57
  21. File them together in the same envelope (Concurrent Filing) Highly recommend that you also file the I-765 (Application for Work Authorization) if you have any desire to work while waiting for the green card to be approved
  22. This is what the BI officer asked of Jaycel when she left the Philippines on her K-1 last August. He wanted to see the email on her phone and opened the attachment with the certificate right from there. They do offer printing service at the CFO office so you can print it but that’s pointless because the BI officer refused it when Jaycel tried to give it to him
