When I left the Philippines with my ECC, I asked if I needed to turn in my ACR-I card at my exit immigration stop in NAIA and the BI officer said no. Still have it here. I can’t tell you if the reports on Facebook are accurate or not. You know the BI… all of it could be true. Each BI office seems to have its own rules and sometimes each officer 🤣

You just have to get your ECC and leave. The probationary 13A will be cancelled if you don't convert it to permanent. If you want to return in the future to live as a permanent resident you will just have to start all over again with a fresh application and a new probationary period.

So happy for you both!! 😁 I’ll give you the advice that Jaycel got from a poster here on VJ about the CFO… Be polite, be confident in your relationship BUT be firm in your answers that you know your fiancè and that you trust him. That got Jaycel through the first part of the 1 on 1 session where the counselor was very overbearing and quite frankly rude

It's also valid for immediate family members of current Philippine citizens As a U.S. citizen married to a Filipino citizen, you can enter the Philippines visa-free as a family member of a Balikbayan (returning Filipino citizen) for up to one year, provided you travel with your spouse and present proof of your relationship. Here's a more detailed explanation: Balikbayan Program: The Balikbayan program allows returning Filipino citizens (including former Filipinos who have acquired foreign citizenship) and their immediate family members (spouse and children) to enter the Philippines visa-free for a period of one year. Visa-Free Entry: As a foreign spouse of a Filipino citizen, you can enter the Philippines visa-free under this program, provided you are traveling with your Filipino spouse and present the necessary documentation to the immigration officer. Required Documents: Proof of Relationship: You will need to present a valid marriage certificate as proof of your relationship with your Filipino spouse. Valid Passport: Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in the Philippines. Balikbayan Definition: A Balikbayan includes: Returning Filipino citizens Filipino overseas workers Former citizens of the Philippines who are now holders of foreign passports

No it doesn't matter: Yes, as a US citizen, you may be eligible for a visa-free entry to the Philippines under the Balikbayan Program if you are the spouse of a former Philippine citizen, provided you travel with them and meet certain requirements. Here's a more detailed explanation: Balikbayan Program: This program allows former Filipino citizens who have acquired foreign citizenship, along with their foreign spouses and children, to enter the Philippines visa-free for a period of one year. Requirements: You must be the spouse of a former Filipino citizen. You must travel with your former Filipino citizen spouse. Your spouse must be able to prove their former Philippine citizenship (e.g., old Philippine passport or PSA-issued birth certificate). You must present a valid passport and any other required documents as determined by the Philippine immigration officials at the port of entry.

As the spouse of a Philippine citizen, you can get the 1 year Balikbayan visa upon arrival as long as you enter the country with your Philippine Citizen spouse and bring a certified copy of your marriage certificate

They did not ask Jaycel for the IRS Transcript but they did ask for the Proof of Relationship. What we had prepared for the Embassy/CFO was 120 pages and she said the counselor looked at every page of the proof. She said her counselor was very strict but once she saw that I had lived there with her and she saw lots of pictures of me with her family, she softened up a little bit

He will register at https://www.edo.cjis.gov/#/ The cost to register is $18 then he will have to register his case number with USPS and when he goes to the Post Office to do the fingerprints it will cost $50
-
I did this.... You have to sign up on the FBI website first and get a case number and then register it with the USPS. I had the email back from the FBI with my results within 2 hours of doing the fingerprints at USPS

Hey Mary... I have heard that the CFO lately is asking for police/FBI clearance from the petitioner at the counseling session. Didn't want you to be surprised by that if you did not hear about it.

Edward and Jaycel replied to Joe Bear's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
This is for any children the beneficiary has This is for the Petitioner My instincts say that this should be the names of your parents as listed on your birth certificate - Someone else can correct me if I'm incorrect here -
No... when Jaycel did her interview, it was on the old system and they did not require you to input the DS-160 confirmation number when scheduling her appointment
