  1. This is what the BI officer asked of Jaycel when she left the Philippines on her K-1 last August. He wanted to see the email on her phone and opened the attachment with the certificate right from there. They do offer printing service at the CFO office so you can print it but that’s pointless because the BI officer refused it when Jaycel tried to give it to him
  2. Today's stats: May 3, 2025 22:10 MDT November 2024 Filed I-485 Stats • Approved: 3,392 (+170) • Denied: 251 • FingerprintScheduled: 148 • InterviewCancelled: 195 • InterviewScheduled: 7,331 (+150) • Processing: 29,586 • Received: 650 • Rejected: 105 • RFE: 399 • Terminated: 140 • Withdrawal: 11 • Others: 57
  3. This will not be uncommon as many Filipinas are OFW in the UAE and I know they have seen K-1 applicants from the Philippines at that embassy. Just assemble the proof of chats and video calls for her to take with her as proof of ongoing relationship and when you get there before her interview, take some pics, make copies of your boarding passes, hotel reservations, etc. for her to bring as well. I know a common question in the K-1 interview is when did you talk/see your fiancé last and she will have a great answer with you being there to support her for the interview. Good luck, keep us posted and thank you for filling out your timeline!
  4. Clearly a mistake by USCIS - Did you include your receipt number from the approved I-129F petition on the I-485 application on the "underlying petition #" part? Did you include a copy of the NOA2 and does your name match on the marriage certificate and the NOA2 from the I-129F? If yes to all of this, I would respond to this RFE stating that you indeed did marry within the 90 day deadline and again include the scan of the visa page with entry stamp, I-94, NOA2 from the I-129F and marriage certificate copy showing marriage within the required time.
  5. This is correct... this is how we did it. Did you include a copy of the K-1 Visa with the stamp and her I-94 in the application package?
  6. Exactly this 👆👆 Congratulations on the upcoming wedding! Best of luck and hope for a speedy CR-1 process for you guys
  7. Today's stats: May 3, 2025 01:45 MDT November 2024 Filed I-485 Stats • Approved: 3,222 (+211) • Denied: 244 • FingerprintScheduled: 148 • InterviewCancelled: 192 • InterviewScheduled: 7,181 (+188) • Processing: 29,917 • Received: 652 • Rejected: 106 • RFE: 394 • Terminated: 139 • Withdrawal: 11 • Others: 59 Another week of approvals outpacing the scheduling of interviews 🤔
  8. St. Luke's is pretty accommodating... As long as her SLEC appointment confirmation page, passport and DS-160 confirmation page match on the name, I really don't see them giving her a problem. NVC left off Jaycel's middle name on the K1-FTP letter and there was no issue. Let us know if that's not the case. As you said, nothing you can really do about it now that the embassy has the case.
  9. They have the Manila embassy selected on the I-129F as where she will be applying for the visa We got everything via email from the Embassy in Manila
  10. No worries... Ours says the same thing and has since Jaycel's biometrics appointment on Dec. 26th.
  11. Congrats!! 🎉🎉 That progress bar automatically marks that as complete for everyone after their biometrics. There have been reports of people with that being checked and then they get an interview notice, so that can be ignored.
  12. You should be able to apply for work but you can’t start and fill out your I-9 form until you have the EAD and SS card in hand
  13. What @Crazy Cat said above is correct but if you want, once your petition is approved and USCIS indicates they have sent it to the Department of State, you can use their public inquiry form to request your case number and in that request, update your fiancée’s mailing address. In that same request, I would also ask them to be sure they have your correct email addresses and give them yours and your fiancée’s email addresses. They often get transposed incorrectly when the NVC enters the info from the I-129F into their systems. These are more important at this point since all of the communication from the NVC and embassy will come via email. Good luck and wish you both a speedy approval!

  15. My answer to this is a definite yes as they put this verbal warning and information into a database with your Passport and other identifying details (which is why you keep getting checked) so you should disclose it. My initial thought is Part 9., Item 15.b. - Have you EVER been arrested, cited, detained or confined by any law enforcement officer, military official (in the U.S. or elsewhere), or immigration official for any reason, or been charged with a crime or offense?
  16. Yeah we knew about the in person requirement for applying... We're just going to make a little vacation out of it but we were hoping to avoid a 2nd trip to get the passport
  17. Thank you so much! Unfortunately we will have to do it by mail as San Francisco is our consulate and we live in Denver. It's good to know she gets to keep the old one.
  18. Yes this is the route we are going to go but our concern is going to the consulate in San Francisco and doing the name change, do they give back the old passport with a hole punched in it or something? If they don't, we don't want to do this until after Jaycel has her green card interview and/or gets approved without the interview because I think they like to see the passport with the K-1 visa that you entered the US with at the interview?
