  1. Thanks everyone! From what I remember from last summer, I feel like a bunch of people got IL within weeks in a weird order. The days from my IL to interview is 60 days, which is pretty long. So perhaps April-June 2024 DQ will get IL soon with a shorter IL to interview time like the 30-45 days we often see. Rooting for you!
  2. @Journeyman23 Yes sorry, July 23, 2024. Not expedited. Regular!
  3. @Lemonslice Thank you so much for all the info! 💕
  4. Hello everyone! I am happy to say I've got IL! Our interview is September 19. I'm DQ July 23. Country of chargeability Canada. There must be a bunch coming this week!🎉
  5. @Lemonslice Oh thank you! That's very helpful!! Did you get your car insurance records as well from Quebec to show your new US car insurance? I've been reading that I should try to do that...
  6. @Lemonslice Thank you! I'm still thinking about it... You are right with the amount of bandwidth. I will follow up if I decide to go ahead!
  7. Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone tried to move their house plants from Canada to the US? I love couple of my plants so much and wondering how much of an headache it would be to move them with us. I see online you have to get a certificate from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency? Is that super complicated? Planning on moving with UBox or U-Pack from Quebec to California. Thank you for your help!
  8. @Emmajapan It was also my lawyers. They usually use Fedex. I was counting 5 business days from when NVC received the documents.
  9. @Emmajapan It's hard to say as it depends on when NVC will look at your documents. As you already submitted your documents, if I were you I would live it as is, in hope they give you a DQ within 2 weeks (mine took 5 business days, but we heard some people are waiting many weeks now). But if you are able to start the process of getting new ones in the mid time and it's not too expensive, I would also start that process. So you have them if NVC say you are missing these documents. You will definitely need new unexpired ones for you and your wife for your interview in Montreal. But that'll take around a year from DQ. The 2 years doesn’t apply if you go back to your country to visit.
  10. @Journeyman23 I feel you! As someone else said here, it might be perhaps because of summer vacations. But also, they usually hit the quota in August so they might not want to schedule too many. The quota restart October 1st. Last year they did a big jump in August, fingers crossed it's the same this year. Here are my notes from last year: As of May/June 2024, they are scheduling January 2023 As of July 2024, they are scheduling January 2023 As of August 2024, they are scheduling May 2023 (January to May (someone is January 5 and another is May 15 at the same time) As of 3 September 2024, they are scheduling June- August 2023 for end Sept interviews You can also check out the "Consular Updates" tab in our Google Sheet to get a sense of the patterns. It really varies month to month, sometimes there's nothing for ages, then suddenly a bunch come in. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NnYTWRgdQB9gj2SyQjBL3fzz5-OS9FJZQXFXCbSe0Ig/edit?gid=911492914#gid=911492914 Really hoping it’s like last year and we see a wave in August, and it's not a slowdown because of the new administration. Fingers crossed!
  11. @appleblossom Yes, that’s exactly how I’ve been trying to use the VJ timeline too, but like you said, there isn't enough EB data to be useful at all, or Montreal consulate data to be useful at all. Personally, I also prefer seeing all the raw data in a nice spreadsheet, rather than having VisaJourney select just a few comparables. Agree to disagree on that front, but we’ll make sure the Google Sheet keeps getting passed along and shared with editor access.
  12. @appleblossom Hi! I’ve been on this forum for about two years, and I’ve honestly never found the VisaJourney timeline tool helpful at all. When I search for data, it gives me non-useful info (not specific enough to EB) or super spotty info. Is there a specific way you're using it that actually makes it useful? Or are you working with VisaJourney to help populate the timeline data? If so, fair enough! On the other hand, the Google spreadsheets have been incredibly helpful over the years, especially for tracking progress in EB, seeing who among us received ILs, and getting a statistical sense of how fast things are moving.
  13. @PotatoPancake Congrats on submitting to NVC. Shared it with you. Also added your info to the spreadsheet thanks!
  14. Yes of course! I think I just made everyone an editor. If you are not in it, just request editing acces directly in the Google sheet and I'll accept it. Here is the link again: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NnYTWRgdQB9gj2SyQjBL3fzz5-OS9FJZQXFXCbSe0Ig/edit?gid=0#gid=0
  15. @Cryons4time That's a great point! I didn't think about that. Fingers crossed you are right! You are giving us some hope! And thank you for your info. I added to the spreedsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NnYTWRgdQB9gj2SyQjBL3fzz5-OS9FJZQXFXCbSe0Ig/edit?gid=0#gid=0
  16. Hello everyone, Do we have anyone, particularly from Canada (so PD current) or ROW, who was DQ’d in April, May, or June? There isn't anyone on the Google spreadsheet anymore. This info would help everyone to know where we are at. Thank you for letting us know! I created a new copy of the spreadsheet to keep everything organized, as the previous owner is no longer maintaining it and things were out of order. You can request access if you need to make any changes. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NnYTWRgdQB9gj2SyQjBL3fzz5-OS9FJZQXFXCbSe0Ig/edit?gid=0#gid=0
  17. @a7medfx Thanks! Do you mind telling us for the spreadsheet: Country of chargeability Precis Date of DQ: (day + month) Priority Date: (day + month) Fingers crossed there is a new batch of IL soon! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NnYTWRgdQB9gj2SyQjBL3fzz5-OS9FJZQXFXCbSe0Ig/edit?gid=0#gid=0

  19. Omg! Congrats!! You must be so happy! Thank you for letting us know! So ggod to hear that things are moving!
  20. @ACat When I did mine (back in July 2024) it took only 6 business days to be DQ once they received it. Mine was sent by mail as I'm EB-1 (which by mail is supposed to take longer to get DQ). So you know: you will receive your DQ by email. Your lawyer gets the email too. If I were you I would try to contact NVC as this seems very long. Hopefully you've been DQ this whole time and just didn't receveive the email!
  21. @visajournie Congratulations on your visa being issued! Thank you for the details info! Super appreciated!
  22. It's all very stressful. It feels like no IL is happening since March, but they say it does, or perhaps we just don't have the people here who did get IL... 😨
  23. @Anelisse You should be in the next batch! Congrats! We are at DQ end of April 2024 now. We have been receiving IL every months for a while. So you should get your soon!
  24. Anyone else that is not expedite got IL? The website says we are at May!
