  1. I found this: Can I include my children if they were not originally part of the case? If the visa for which you are applying allows derivative children, your unmarried children under the age of 21 may be added as derivative applicants after your interview has been scheduled. You must directly contact the embassy/consulate to request specific instructions. At the interview the added applicant(s) will be required to pay the same fees, and submit the same forms and supporting documents as the original applicant(s). https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview/appointment.html#int12
  2. November 2023 visa issuance stats just released. Very low numbers for E class visas. https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Immigrant-Statistics/MonthlyIVIssuances/NOVEMBER 2023 - IV Issuances by Post and Visa Class.pdf
  3. My lawyer told me that the original is all you need to submit but any updates can be provided during your in person interview such as change of address etc.
  4. Thanks for sharing. Montreal is still issuing EB2 visas so I have a couple of questions that come to mind. 1. Are these visas related to interviews that were conducted based on the May 2023 interview letters? Maybe delayed due to administrative processing? 2. If not, were there maybe other interview letters sent after May 2023 but to a limited number of people that are not part of the visa journey community?
  5. Thanks for sharing. Seems like pretty standard numbers unlike the outliers from July where many more visa were issued in the E category.
  6. I actually do have a couple of other options but they are supposedly even more backed up than Montreal. So while Montreal has been really slow, I just wanted to say that other countries may be even worse depending on the jurisdiction. Kind of makes me feel better if ever so slightly lol.
  7. I received a response from NVC today. It is very generic and doesn't do much to alleviate concerns. They did mention that interview scheduling is based on a first in first out basis which I think it commonly known.
  8. You are correct and I couldn't edit the message after I sent it. THe inquiry went to NVC which seems like the correct destination.
  9. I have emailed the Montreal consulate directly to inquire about when they anticipate the next batch of interview letters. Unfortunately I got the run around and was directed to USCIS. USCIS directed me back to the consulate so I am not expecting any clear information. I just sent an inquiry to USCIS explaining the current interview letter delays for economic-based visa interviews and explained the nearly 5 months without any letters. Any response I receive I will post here. Perhaps if others send similar inquires it will make USCIS aware of the lack of priority for economic-based visas at the Montreal consulate and they may take action. I know this is a slim chance and wishful thinking but at least I feel like I am doing everything I can to highlight the struggles we are all facing. If interested, here is the inquiry form: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html?wcmmode=disabled
  10. I received one on September 1st but did not receive one for the previous quarter. Prior to that I received two others about 60 days apart. I wouldn't worry about it.
  11. Over 4 months since EB interview letters. I honestly do not understand what the holdup is. We pay for these services but have not agency to affect change. I keep hearing of some embassies/consulates handing out interview within week of DQ date. I really hope the next batch comes soon. Another email to the consulate incoming....
  12. Maybe things will pick up in October once the new fiscal year starts and hopefully E2 will be current for all.
  13. No interview letters for EB visas since May. My original guess when I got DQ'ed was that I would get mine in September and it looks like that may be the next round unless something comes this week for folks.
