  1. This is a great update and surprisingly better than I had expected. My DQ is January 31, 2023 so I should be in the next tranche of interview letters!! I will keep everyone posted for sure.
  2. All EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 petitions are based on future employment. You do not need to be employed at the time of adjudication but you must have the intent to be employed once you become an LPR. EB-1A or EB-2 NIW are not tied to a particular job offer but you must have the intent to work in the occupational field that your petition was based on. That means you don't need to have any job offer at the time of the interview but you at least have to try to look for work in your field after the GC is approved.
  3. This is interesting and I am also very interested in the experience of others. I will likely bring my entire set of documents that were submitted for approval of my EB2-NIW. The thing is though that supposedly the consulate is not supposed to re-adjudicate your case once it has been approved but I guess that is open to interpretation as to what re-adjudicate actually means.
  4. If you are older than 16 years of age: The original police certificate from your country of current residence, any countries where you lived for more than 12 months, and any country where you have been arrested. If you previously submitted a police certificate to NVC, it is more than one (1) year old, and you still live in that country, you must obtain and bring a more recent police certificate to your visa interview as the one you previously submitted will have expired. https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/MTL - Montreal-6-13-2023.pdf
  5. I think you asked about this before. It is better to add children after an interview letter is received since it won't change your DQ date. If you added them before the interview letter, it may have pushed your DQ date out. Check the DQ date when you receive the regulare NVC email about progress which comes every couple of months for most people.
  6. When is your interview? I noticed some people were recently only given like a month notice and curious since I currently reside outside of Canada.
  7. February visa issuance is out. Pretty good numbers for E3 especially. https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Immigrant-Statistics/MonthlyIVIssuances/FEBRUARY 2024 - IV Issuances by Post and Visa Class.pdf
  8. This is my understanding as well. This is just an administrative update but the dates are still as of February 15th. It is only when the "as of" date changes that the dates corresponding to each visa type are updated.
  9. I found this: Can I include my children if they were not originally part of the case? If the visa for which you are applying allows derivative children, your unmarried children under the age of 21 may be added as derivative applicants after your interview has been scheduled. You must directly contact the embassy/consulate to request specific instructions. At the interview the added applicant(s) will be required to pay the same fees, and submit the same forms and supporting documents as the original applicant(s). https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview/appointment.html#int12
  10. November 2023 visa issuance stats just released. Very low numbers for E class visas. https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Immigrant-Statistics/MonthlyIVIssuances/NOVEMBER 2023 - IV Issuances by Post and Visa Class.pdf
  11. My lawyer told me that the original is all you need to submit but any updates can be provided during your in person interview such as change of address etc.
  12. Thanks for sharing. Montreal is still issuing EB2 visas so I have a couple of questions that come to mind. 1. Are these visas related to interviews that were conducted based on the May 2023 interview letters? Maybe delayed due to administrative processing? 2. If not, were there maybe other interview letters sent after May 2023 but to a limited number of people that are not part of the visa journey community?
  13. Thanks for sharing. Seems like pretty standard numbers unlike the outliers from July where many more visa were issued in the E category.
  14. I actually do have a couple of other options but they are supposedly even more backed up than Montreal. So while Montreal has been really slow, I just wanted to say that other countries may be even worse depending on the jurisdiction. Kind of makes me feel better if ever so slightly lol.
  15. I received a response from NVC today. It is very generic and doesn't do much to alleviate concerns. They did mention that interview scheduling is based on a first in first out basis which I think it commonly known.
