This also happened to us and it ended up being that they rejected the application due to some filing errors. I would call the customer service number - they were very helpful and gave us enough information to know what was going on. We refilled with no issues and my husband has his biometrics appointment today.

I also had chosen the wrong filing code for EAD (K1 instead of AOS), which had made the payment amount incorrect. Received by Chicago Lockbox: 1/20
USCIS e-notification: 1/24
Check payment shown pending: 1/24
We’re finally in our way! 👏👏👏

It was received and signed for according to USPS tracking. I meant lost as in lost at someones desk inside the facility and not the fault of USPS.
If I send in another package and during that time they look at the original, will there be any problems if I cancel the original check? I assume they would just toss the original once payment doesn't go through. (havent canceled the check, just a scenario)
I’m in the same situation . Received by Chicago on 12/18 and no NOA or check cashed. I’m in a bit of a panic too, but I do think it’s within a typical processing window. We’ve had a bunch of vacation days that have likely caused a backup. My friend is an immigration lawyer and she agrees that a NOA is likely to come waiting a few more weeks. Please do keep us updated though and I will do the same!

AOS package delivered 12/19 and still waiting for notice/check cashed.
Live in TX and sent it to the Dallas, TX lockbox with signature confirmation

Out of status as of 1/4/23. If it gets rejected can the i485 package be resubmitted or does something else need to be done given out of status.
We’re in the same situation… received by Chicago, IL lockbox on 12/18 and no word yet and no check deposit. Husband will be over the 90 days soon too. I would submit an inquiry just so it’s on file that you did indeed submit something. I plan to send an inquiry as we near 30 days since sending it.

Happy New Year!
Wishing everyone a speedy processing.
@Bri and Carlos,
did you get any feedback in the meantime?
Happy New Year to you too! Still waiting here … but a few people have mentioned a similar timeline to ours. Hoping for news soon!

Glad it isn't just us lol. Ours was delivered to Chicago Lockbox 12/22- I keep reminding myself that today makes only the 8th business day because of the holiday. Trying to be patient.. but wondering if checks take longer than CC. Nothing more fun than the immigration waiting game 🫠
I’ve done the same thing counting the business days! lol Comforting to know we’re in the same boat. Hoping for some news for both of us soon!

Updating my timeline for clarity and to help others because the holidays really threw everything off course it seems:
11/17/2023: I-485, I-765, and I-131 received by USCIS
12/12/2023: RFE sent by USCIS for I-864
12/18/2023: Received RFE and all NOAs in the mail
1/2/2024: Biometrics appointment
1/3/2024: Status changed to actively reviewing I-485 and I-765
1/3/2023: RFIE response received by USCIS
Thank you so much for this! It’s important to see that some applications are taking a bit longer to process. Which locations was your application sent to? Ours is Chicago, IL. Thank you again and I hope that you’re able to make it home for April!!

Thanks, but I had directed my question to user with a similar processing time … outside the holiday season.

No they still haven't been cashed, I've been checking everyday
Do you have an update on this? I am in the same situation. AOS was delivered to Chicago lockbox via USPS on 12/18. It’s 2 weeks later and still nothing - check hasn’t been deposited and no NOA. It appears that other applications are being processed much more quickly.

Our AOS (for K1) was filed and delivered via USPS to the PO BOX in Chicago on the 18th of Nov at 3pm.
We still haven't received any messages, mails, and my credit card has not been charged yet (no attempt either?).
I know Thanksgiving happened between this time so maybe that is the reason, but a bit worried as I chose to use my credit card which may not have been able to be used...
Did this eventually go through? If so, I’m curious as to when? I’m having the same issue, having submitted everything and being received 12/18. No check has been deposited and no NOA. It seems everyone else’s application is being processed more quickly.

I’d say it’s pretty normal! I noticed it was quicker with the K-1 too, probably because the lockbox receives more petitions and the holidays don’t help
My CC was charged after 3 days and NOA1s (in the mail) were received after 11 days
Thank you! I see we’re both in CT so I’m definitely following you for updates!

Hi all,
AOS packet delivered on 12/18 to Chicago, IL. We didn’t request the e-notification, but with the K1 application, the check was deposited and NOA1 was received quickly. This hasn’t been the case this time around. I’m sure it doesn’t help having 2 holidays back to back, but would you say this is a typical processing timeline? Thank you!

We are getting ready to apply for AOS after K1 visa. I’m definitely confused about whether the I-693 should also be submitted, despite being listed as optional and references of not being necessary if you’ve had the exam within the last year overseas. What is your recommendation? Wait and see if they ask for RFE?

And just now I received the formal email that it is being shipped from the NVC to the Embassy! 👏 👏 👏

We share the same date Noa 2 : April 21st , yesterday made it day 60 for me. I’ve sent a mail via nvc research yesterday hoping to hear from them soon. Please how long did it take from your last follow mail to get this response from them?Thank you! I sent an email on Tuesday and received the response this morning. I’d expect you to hear today or tomorrow!

NOA 2: April 21st and today I received confirmation from a NVC Research inquiry that the petition was recently received from USCIS! It seems the estimates are accurate (60ish days).

Hi all,
I finally received NO2 and I am waiting for the NVC case number and confirmation of mailing to the consulate. My question is how does the consulate know how to contact my fiancé for Package 3? I don’t remember ever providing his email address on the I-129F. Is it provided through registering with CEAC or filing out the DS-160? Thank you in advance!

It’ll happen for you! And thank you for posting all the updates. It was reassuring to see the numbers each day 🙏

We waited 30 days as they suggested. I believe we called 8003755283. When the machine asks, how can I help you, say, “I want to know about my case.” Then, when the machine asks for a receipt number, say “I never received a receipt number.” Then, when it asks about a location, choose a service center.
