It’s okay in my state even marry first cousins in okay in my state. I just don’t know what step we are in the Philippines be legally marry there. I believe we are 5th because 4th civil degree is first cousins.

I don’t understand the Philippines 4th civil degree of marriage. I don’t know where I am to my moms half first cousin. My fiancé and I would like to get married but we don’t know what civil degree we are to each other. my grandma and his dad are half siblings. They both share the same mother and my mom and him ate half first cousins. does anyone know if our marriage would be okay in the Philippines?

Hello, I already submitted my I-130 a few weeks ago but on part 5 of the application if ask if you ever filed a petition for this beneficiary or another alien. I forgot to add my ex-husbands name and I don't know how to correct it properly. Is there a form I need to fill out or do I add the additional information page to my attachments on my account?

I just didn’t reply back to it. I was thankful for the link he provided and I said thank you. but when he mentioned “ Your life, your money, your choice..... Out.” in his last comment I took it as he was basically saying I am wasting my time which is why I just didn’t reply back to him again since I was firm with my choice already. I just wanted to understand the income taxes part because because I thought it was weird that you wouldn’t send them along with the application showing you can provide for them first.

And I did say thank you then you came back with the “ Your life, your money, your choice..... Out.” it made it sound as if I was doubting myself. I am choosing this route because I want to get married in my home state. I don’t want to get married via zoom or in another country which is a big reason for choice the k1 route.

Palawan, Thank you for commenting. I was quite upset with his reply. I came on here for help and he made it seem like I was doubting my choice on my decision. I am thankful firm on applying to for k1, we are prepared to pay the money. When I saw how much the hassle was to get married in the Philippines compared to where I live, I was like nope lol. thank you again for replying. I truly appreciate your comment.

Hi crazy cat! I can’t figure out how to reply directly to you so I hope this makes it to you. I’ve considered both, but my main goal was I wanted him with me asap. From what I researched the processing times are a little long for the spousal visa because of all that comes with it, but the process for getting married and getting all the paperwork ready in the Philippines was more of a hassle than I wanted. thank you for the link on the first post! I’m having a hard time navigating the website and I am thinking it might be because I am using my phone.

Hi! I am basically done with my application, but I can’t not see anything about attaching my previous years income tax returns to prove that I make enough money to support him. So I am thinking I am not supposed to send that information along with the k1 visa application, but maybe later on or provide them for his interview?

Hi! im sorry! I didn’t know what to title this, but I need some help with my question 51 on the k1 visa. I was told that me and my fiancé were second cousins and i always just kept it that way in my head until this question on the paperwork asked and I want to be correct with my answer. I want to make sure what I put down is correct, so we don’t get denied. I attached a picture here since I might explain it badly lol and I tried to figure it out myself, but I am having a hard time figure out if we are 1/2 second cousins or if I am his 1/2 grand niece. my great grandmother and his grandpa had my fiancés dad then had him. So my grandma and my fiancés dad are step siblings sharing the same mom. my mom had me and I believe that would make my mom and my fiancés dad step 1st cousins? thank you!!
