  1. You need to have appointment with passport agency. https://passportappointment.travel.state.gov/ You will need to bring proof of your urgent trip. My advice is: if you know your oath date and time, schedule appointment already for the later in the day after your oath or next day after oath. Good luck!
  2. How about https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/ndn ? I was under impression folks get their non delivered noticed mailed to them.
  3. The kids would not have naturalization certificate in this case. They will have certificate of citizenship instead.
  4. Just like extension letter, 4-8 weeks after you submit request. But may never happen if you use wrong address
  5. It's a document you need to carry in addition to your passport in order to enter the US.
  6. So you're saying wrong address was used? Are you sure you didn't make the same mistake when filing I-751?
  7. Estimated is ok in this case, nobody is going to be worked up
  8. I've never heard of people being penalized for filing late. Better late than never
  9. DS-160 to update. Nothing happening before that. Your address needs to be changed every time you move, however.
  10. Your interview was yesterday? If so you just have to be patient. When 120 days pass from interview date, you can sue USCIS for decision if not naturalized by then.
  11. I mean, when it comes to immigration, unless going through surgery for life threatening condition or attending mother's funeral, it is almost always cheaper to skip day of work or call in sick VS miss appointment. People lose status and get placed in removal when missing appointments
  12. I only naturalized in the US once Who knows, maybe process changed over time too
  13. To avoid situations such as: "What do you mean to bear arms? I never agreed to this. I just repeated text after USCIS person and did not fully understand it". Now there is paper trail proving you read it and agreed.
  14. Yep signing that you understand the oath and willing to take it
  15. I believe this can be true. OP was probably asked to sign oath of allegance to ensure they're happy to take full oath without modifications. I signed it too if I remember correctly. But it's more of "I agree to saying this as is" VS actually getting approved or taking oath.
  16. It clearly asks to answer this if marriage ended due to divorce or death.
  17. All I-129F fiance petitions are processed by California Service Center as far as I know.
  18. Was certificate short form or long form version? If short version was sent this could explain at least why they're not happy about sponsor's documentation. As for beneficiary, do they live in the country of their birth and citizenship or let's say they're Nigerian citizen living in the UK?
  19. Unlikely going to help. USCIS does not provide legal advice. When you called them, you get "welcomed" by a robot, which is difficult to bypass. When you finally speak to a person (phone or chat), it is a low wage hourly worker who has no clue what they're talking about. And the worst part, they make up answers to finish your call or chat sooner, so they can take next person's question improving their performance for statistics. I would try getting more traction here or even employing a lawyer. The reason I didn't give advice of what to do, is because this may be more complex than what it appears to be. That's why I asked where the petitioner was born etc. Because it seems like USCIS for whatever reason is not convinced they are a citizen. Wrong or incomplete reply to RFE may result in petition denial, e.g. time and money wasted.
  20. What is your partner's citizenship? It's not based in residency
  21. You get instant confirmation when filing AR-11 online. It's a page you see instantly after submitting it. You can do it again safely Sponsor needs to file I-865 by mail too
  22. This is still not helpful. There is probably more text preceding this sentence explaining why it wasn't enough? Was the US citizen born in the US?
  23. Can you please post exact RFE wording, redacting any sensitive info? What evidence of US citizenship was provided with I-129F submission?
