    You can say the least. E.g. both Freedom and Religious Freedom accepted. Similarly, George Washington and Washington is accepted for different question. I know you're asking because of wife. She needs to say firmly and clearly, even if it's a short answer. If she struggles pronouncing one worded answers, then IO may suspect she doesn't speak English much

    Hi, you don't really have many options. You're right, you cannot stay a decade in the US waiting for your father's petition to be approved, as you'd be out of status without anything else. You could try switching to F-1 student visa, but studying for a decade is long, expensive and not always practical. H-1B is an option but it would take a long time to get, and your visa will run out before you get it if you win in the lottery.

    Are you adjusting based on marriage by any chance? If yes, have you considered taking spouse's last name? Not having last name in the US can be problematic at times.

    Are you sure the person was a lawyer? Even regular folks on Visa Journey know petitions for adult children don't work for people who overstayed. They're not considered immediate relatives and need to be in valid status or better outside the US while their I-130s are pending... Asylum (if real) was a much better choice for oversayed adults.

    You can submit another one of those requests. I changed address few years back, don't recall receiving email. The next page after submitting request was shown as confirmation in the browser. I saved that.

    There's no such form "i30". There's form I-130, but just filing I-130 won't fix anything, especially if spouse is incarcerated.

    Not great for her protection in life. If she's not on lease, what happens if you suddenly die? Not great for immigration either. Do you both at least have IDs or DLs with this address?

    I wouldn't risk the immigration because it costs more to have her on lease. Forgot or it was cheaper? I'm only telling the best, you do what works for you

    Why wait? LPR is always one serious issue away from being put in removal and deported. If she wants to be a citizen, no reason to wait.

    Ok, she's only eligible under 3 year rule so far. In 2027 she could apply under general provision. Right now she's eligible (at least based on resident since date) to apply under 3 year rule. Again, unless she has issues: She can apply today

    Thousands apply and thousands become citizens. Does she have any immigration issues or criminal past? What's her resident since date on green card? She may be eligible under general provision if she became a LPR in August 2020.

    Doesn't matter when. Would you want USCIS to doubt your marriage 5 years later and revisit your green card when you try to naturalize? I'd try to fix it sooner.

    Maybe. Tax return transcripts are still needed for I-751 and N-400. Even if it flies through right now, it may be a problem in the future. The solution is amending taxes. Good luck!

    I think it's a matter of moral conviction. I wouldn't want to simulate emergency. Rather have it for somebody who geniunely needs it... The more people do it, the less effective it would become in the future. Expedites with USCIS used to be effective until every other person started abusing them. And now they won't work. The government most likely will raise the bar even higher for people seeking emergency passport and will request likes of death certicates or letters from doctors to prove emergency...

    One must have a good reason and proof why urgent passport is needed (trip in under 14 days). I personally applied at USPS with expedited fees. The passport came very quick. Could I book a refundable ticket and get passport same or next day at passport agency? Sure. But I thought I'm not going to take a spot for somebody who may have a life and death situation and needs passport very urgently.
