  1. The letter itself may tell which service center your case is pending at outside of case number.
  2. Congratulations! I'd make digital copies of everything and store in the cloud as a backup as soon as it arrives. Also, don't ever use GC for I-9 verification. I highly recommend DL + unrestricted SS card.
  3. Good luck, your risk tolerance is commendable !
  4. So let me guess... You filed N-400 and received biometrics reuse notice first, then you got receipt for filing N-400 explaining that your GC expiry is extended by 24 months... The letter starts with "Thank you for submitting your application, petition, or request. Our office is currently processing it." So what you see is normal. Essentially USPS delivered letters in different order. There's nothing to worry about. Of course, anybody who got their biometrics reused may get biometrics appointment letter if reuse was sent in error. Based on what you got so far, there's nothing to worry about. You received two letters as you should have, just in different order. And one more thing: if you are a person who worries a lot, save your nerves, don't pay any attention to estimated processing times or steps on MyProgress bar. This is know to update a lot with various inaccurate estimates or dissapear altogether. If you filed this month (December 2024), please join this group: You'll be able to see other people's experiences who filed around same time as you.
  5. New speculation As some tristate state officials said, where is lack of information, it's being filled with all sorts of theories...
  6. They'll deny your N-400 if you cannot prove you resided in jurisdiction immediately 90 days before filing. Looks like you didn't think this through before applying. What evidence do you have of living in TX 90 days before applying for N-400? Did you have employment in TX at that time? Did you update your DL at that time?
  7. As far as I know, if house is a primary residence, it cannot be used as an asset for I-864. Overall agree, if income is enough to prove eligibility, no need to list assets at all.
  8. Actually, here's related video posted few hours ago I just found 😅 I'll leave it here...
  9. Agreed, there's not much control one has over embassies etc. Once the window of opportunity is given, it's best to make use of it. New administration, change in priorities may slow everything down in 2025.
  10. Don't worry too much! Just because biometrics are not done, doesn't mean your case will go slower. For example, when I filed I-751, I got biometrics reused quickly. Others waited a year with "Case Received" status. Majority if those folks got prioritized and decided 2-3 months before folks in my block who had biometrics done earlier.
  11. These estimates mean nothing. They are ridiculously inaccurate across different types of cases. Just to give you some context: I've seen somebody reporting estimate showing 7 month to decision on N-400 on the day they were taking oath. The other person saw "Your case is taking longer than expected" 9 days after filing their case (and got worried about it). As one VJ speculated, these were designed to reduce number of calls to USCIS asking what's going on with their case and how far they're from approval. Essentially, it just keeps you busy by showing random stuff here and there. I'm not saying this is true purpose of myProgress, but it appears to be functioning this way today.
  12. This is normal. Many people have the same problem. The estimate on MyProgress tab is not something you can trust or rely on. It shows inaccurate data and it has outages (disappears) from time to time. There's nothing to worry about. If you filed in June, you're under normal processing times. West Palm Beach shows 7.5 months for most of cases. I'd say February - March 2025 is when you'll get your case decided unless everything will slow down under new administration.
  13. Most likely you'll hear after holidays. Good luck!
  14. 8-10 weeks is normal to hear from USCIS after sending packet. Do you have proof of delivery? If yes, then you just have to wait.
  15. This is normal. Check later. Sometimes this message gets generated without any action taken. Sometimes, it's a delayed notification of action.
  16. 15 months for I-130 approval
  17. I presume you got two different I-485 applications - one for spouse and one for stepdaughter. I also presume you got two separate RFEs for each one of them. You need to send two separate RFE replies for each case. If joint sponsor's income is good to support both - great, otherwise you may need two different joint sponsors.
  18. Which citizenship? LPRs are not US citizens, it would be a painful mistake to call yourself US citizen when only LPR. CBP cannot revoke or demand to renounce any other foreign citizenships.
  19. Have you tried https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do?sroPageType=ndn&entryPoint=init?
  20. I do not have compelling evidence that K3 speed up anything. Neither lawyer and others who observed immigration for years. It simply doesn't make sense that USCIS is going to drop everything and process somebody faster just because a free form was filed for them. It's not in manuals, it's not in policies. And there's no proven record of it. Some cases get approved super fast without K-3s, expedites or anything special. Some just get lucky.
  21. Good luck! Did you get biometrics reused?
  22. Sadly, no. It's also to do with how busy the office is and how officer handles workloads. Each case is unique too.
  23. The normal is an average. Actual cases can take few months less or few months more. K3 is an urban myth. If anything, it takes away time USCIS could use to adjudicate more I-130 instead of opening K3 packet and and putting it in trash can.
