  1. I look at my online status all the time and today I login and found my Interview has been scheduled. No date yet! Both websites were updated to reflect  “interview scheduled”.  Below shows the status on both webpages if anyone is interested...

On September 13, 2019, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxx. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to ........

    We scheduled your interview

View your letter on your documents tab for the interview date, time, and location

Note: It may take up to a few days for your letter to show on your documents tab.

    What to bring

    Green Card

    Appointment letter

A second form of photo identification (such as a driver's license, passport, or state ID card)

    Study for the English test
Your interviewer will test your abilities to read, write, and speak English. You should study for the English test.

    Study for the civics test
Your interviewer will also test your knowledge of important U.S. history and government topics. You should study for the civics test.

  2. That is so irritating!! They should at least have a call log with basic info that they can give you🤦🏻‍♂️.  Maybe the call center direct staff are told not to speak to any case and only give generic help.  I’ve head people ask to speak with a Tier 2 officer and get the information they need. Not sure if you care enough or want to ask for a Tier 2 officer but it’s always an option.

  3. I’m happy to see that some have been successful with a walk-in biometrics!!

Congratulations @erikavsw I’m so glad to see progress!

I just got an update on my case status.  The completion time went from Nov to December 🤦🏻‍♂️

Status updated from “we scheduled your biometrics” to “we reviewed your biometrics” and added a month to completion time.

It would be great if they were also consistent with the processing times across the country.

My estimated completion time is April 2020. If I lived 30 minutes north of where I am it would be October 2019 🤔

Wow I knew completion times varied but I didn't realize that service centers near each other had such time variations.  Sorry you got the shot end of the sick with that variance.

Does anyone know how to process citizenship for my minor daughter who migrated with me under F2A visa? I heard that once I get my US Citizenship, all I need to do is apply for a US passport for her. Is that true? Any advise?

I don’t know much about the F2A but check this link out it might be useful. https://www.***removed***/greencard/***removed***/petition-upgrade.html  they also have forums for the visa process.

This website has some good more direct information on what you are seeking (I think) https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/free-books/fiance-marriage-visa-book/chapter12-30.html

I hope some of this is helpful or of use to you.

Maybe be someone else who has first hand experience or knows exactly what to do can also answer.

Maybe try posting in one of these

    Good luck!

I absolutely believe that each service center has its own way (and time scale) for submitting the data after doing biometrics. I was gathering my stuff while the lady who did mine told me I could go and she was just updating everyting on the main system. My status changed almost immediately online.

There has always been a bit of a difference between the old and new sites.

My status on the old site still says the thing about being actively processed while the new site says my biometrics have been reviewed, etc.

It's been like that since I attended my appointment and I expect it will stay like that. Same thing happened with ROC and even now, the status on the two sites for that completed case read differently.

Thanks for your personal experience and take on the status system!  I completely agree with you.  Each service center must have its own way of processing and updating.

I wish they would have a little more consistently as far as the status process goes.

Oh well I’m sure It won’t be long until we get updates about interviews.

In about 10-15 minutes after I completed the biometrics, I got a status update SMS.

(I have subscribed for SMS alert through the website https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/logon.do)

At the same time, the status also changed in my USCIS online account (URL: https://myaccount.uscis.gov)

to "We reviewed your biometrics. You do not need to do anything at this time". The next day, the estimated

completion also reduced by 3 months - from 13 to 10 months. Hope this helps!

That’s interesting!  I haven’t set up SMS but I actively check. I wonder if the difference is between USCIS services centers in the way they update the status. I hear a lot of people skipping status's.  I wonder if that’s what is happening with mine.

Does anyone know if the status of “we reviewed your biometrics” comes before “Case is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS”?

This would help confirm skipping of some status’s

Do we get notification when biometrics is complete. ?

    I cannot access the portal

When did you do your Biometrics?

I think it takes a while to see a status change after your Biometrics.

You have two website you can check your status at.

If you have your receipt number you can check your status here

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do  if you have had your Biometrics the stays will most likely read “Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS”

The other website is https://myaccount.uscis.gov/ and it will probably just say  “We scheduled your biometrics appointment”

I'm not sure how long this status will stay the same.  I had my appointment about a week ago with no change to the above mentioned status's. The only thing that changed was my estimated time of completion.  That decreased by a month on day of my Biometrics.

I know it’s not really the answer your looking for but if you only just did your Biometrics nothing much has probably changed.

My wait time also changed 1 month decreased after biometrics but status is still on biometrics scheduled.

Same as me.  I think it’s pretty common.  I believe that some others might see different updates due to the website they use to check the status. I only use the new website and it seems like you might be doing the same.  I don’t have an account with the old website and haven’t tried to get one.  Here are the links if your interested.

    Old one: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/logon.do

    new one https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant

How much time it takes to change status from fingerprint scheduled to reviewed biometrics after doing fingerprints.

I’m kind of after the same answer.  I had my Biometrics 8/1/19 and want to know the average amount of days it takes for the status to change and receive an interview date.  My current status still reads we have scheduled your biometrics 🤦🏻‍♂️
