  1. This is great news then! As you say, it's very hard to feel relieved after everything we've been through. I guess now we will anxiously wait for our status to move to "Issued - Final processing" in a few days and get the tracking#. I think then we will be able to finally celebrate.
  2. March 17. Status remained "Ready" even after the interview, it changed today to "Issued AP" Thank you, it doesn't seem as we are out of the woods yet though. The status description says that the case is still under AP after all and that it may take several weeks. We have no indication when/if we will receive the passports back. Reading the "IR1/CR1 FAQ" document, seems like we have to change status again to "ISSUED (with a note saying “Your visa is in final processing"). I just hope we get the visas soon.
  3. My family's DV case was updated from "ready" to "Issued" today! The thing is that the status says that the case is still under AP. This is what the CEAC website shows: Issued Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. As the officer told you in the interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment. I don't want to get my hopes up but hopefully this is a good sign that the case is close to receive final approval. We haven't received any emails from the consulate yet. Is this status normal? I thought the status would change to "Administrative Processing" instead of "Issued".
  4. Thank you for sharing that website, my mother and sister also are DV2022, let me know how we can get added to the DV spreadsheet. They had their interview on March 17, 2022 and they said everything was ok and that they only needed to send correct police certificates. We sent the correct police certs on April 8 and their status has been stuck on "ready" since May 8. Last update was today actually, but this is likely because we sent an email yesterday asking for status (they haven't replied to that email though, to any of the 3 emails we have sent since May 15 actually). My sister is likely to lose her chance to immigrate because she is turning 21 in July 31 so she will no longer be a dependent after that. Being in such a limbo is so frustrating.
  5. Is the public inquiry site down? I'm using this link and it shows "404 Error - Page not found": https://ca.usembassy.gov/embassy-consulates/public-inquiry-form/
  6. Hello, any updates on your case?

      Not yet

We filed a I-601 in late March have not heard anything yet other than confirmation that it was received

  7. I've been lurking this forum for a few days. My family is in a similar situation... My mother won the 2022 Diversity visa and went for her interview with my younger sister (under 21) in Montreal on March 17, 2022. Apparently everything went smoothly and they gave them a 221g because they needed police certificates with fingerprints from RCMP (the one they had were from Toronto police and they didn't check fingerprints). Anyways, we sent these documents to the consulate on April 8 and we haven't heard back. The immigration officer said during the interview that everything looked good and that they only needed the police certificates to issue the visa so I don't know why they are taking so long. Furthermore, the CEAC status shows "Ready", as in ready for interview which is strange because they already had their interview. Last case update was on May 17. The reason we are so anxious is because my younger sister is turning 21 on July 31 and she will lose her opportunity to immigrate if she doesn't get her visa before her birthday. We sent an email to the consulate about this last Thursday and they haven't replied to that. Not to mention, my mother needs to have her visa approved and immigrate before September 30th 2022 or she will lose her opportunity as well. We don't have any family in the US so we don't have the option of involving a senator. I see some posts about WOM but I think they only work on cases that have been in AP for 6+ months. Unfortunately, we don't have that much time and it's only been 2 months since we submitted the requested documents. To me, seems like keep emailing and hoping for the best in our only option. Is there anything else we can do? How long does it usually take for them to respond to emails?
