  1. I thought of that but since there is already a scan of the i-94 in that portal submitting another one seems pointless. I'm not convinced they will RFE but we'll see.
  2. Mailed (Texas Lockbox): January 23rd Delivered: USPS Tracking says 26th January but the "Received Date" and "Priority Date" on the letter are both January 25th 🤷‍♂️ Notice Date: 01/27/2023 Biometrics appointment: 02/21/2023 I had originally sent my packet in at the end of December but they sent it back after 3 weeks. I had made a mistake on the I-485 so they rejected the packet. I fixed it and sent it back the same day, which also gave me the opportunity to include a copy of my wifes birth certificate which I'd forgotten to include in the original packet. I also filed the EAD but didn't bother with AP (Yes I know, I just don't plan to travel and don't want to take up their time processing something I won't use). Hoping it won't take too long to get approved and more importantly that there are no mistakes. I dread the idea of having to do another medical after reading stories of people being RFE'd that presumably because their files got lost. I also only included one copy of evidence to cover everything (for example one i-94 in the entire packet rather than one i-94 per form) and reading this thread makes it sound like that was possibly a mistake and they may RFE another one, we'll see.
  3. I think you can enter the US on a K1 visa without having fulfilled the vaccine requirements - however when you come to Adjust your Status after getting married you'll need all the required vaccines, otherwise USCIS will RFE you until you can provide them or deny you.
  4. I got the notice of action i-797C! Hooray! 🙂 I'm sure this is a stupid question but on the biometrics letter under what to bring it says: I take it a UK passport should be fine for this, and I don't need to quickly apply for a US ID card?
  5. Yeah that's my worry. USCIS rejecting because of an error I've made in the form is essentially the same as if I didn't file? I have to just wait 2-3 weeks now to see what happens and if they send it back again I'll have to seek legal advice I think.
  6. But if they just send the AOS back again and reject it a second time, by the time I've sent it off a third time (after correcting any further mistakes I find, possibly after having a lawyer look it over) I won't have a receipt before the i-94 expires (02/26/2023) - so could I get into trouble in this scenario?
  7. K1 expires Feb 26th, I filed AOS at the end of December and they sent it back rejected after 3 weeks. I noticed a mistake in the i-485 so printed a new one and filled it out (hopefully) correctly. I then sent it back off with the package they sent back to me, again, and they've received it. I hope they will give me a NOA number this time but if there's something else wrong and they reject it again and send it back after three weeks, I'll have to try again and maybe seek legal help. In this situation it seems unlikely that there would be any chance of getting an NOA number back from the AOS before the K1 expires, so I'm wondering what my status would be in that case? Could I be in any trouble?
  8. I've resubmitted it now. I hope that was the only problem. I did also forget to submit a copy of my wife's birth certificate that I'm sure they would RFE so it was at least an opportunity to add that to the packet. I have a feeling of looming dispair that it will be rejected again but I'll struggle to find out why as they don't provide much insight into what was wrong. If it's rejected again I may have to seek out a lawyer.
  9. Yes. I feel very stupid. I have looked through the I-485 and for part 2 question 2 I have selected "Immediate relative of a U.S. citizen, Form I-130" instead of "Person admitted to the United States as a fiancé(e) or child of a fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen, Form I-129F (K-1/K-2 Nonimmigrant)" How idiotic.
  10. Hi, today I received my packet back with a notice that it has been rejected. The text reads: I'm not entirely sure what they mean by "your priority date could not be established" but on the I-485 Section 2 Question 4 it asks: "Priority Date from Underlying Petition (if any)". I left this question blank. Should I populate it with the NOA1 or NOA2 date of the original K1 application? I did enter the receipt number in the question prior to that when asked, but I wasn't sure what Priority date meant. For the 'The following documents may be provided" that they list, they seem to talk of forms that don't relate to a K1 applicant. As for resubmitting, can I mail the package back to them as they have sent it? They have a big staple through everything related to the I-485, and then the EAD documents stapled seperately. They also stamped the check but I'm not sure if I need to send a new payment or not? They added a green paper rejection notice that says if I resubmit, to put the green paper on top of the package.
  11. I think I have made an error and not submitted my spouse (USC) birth certificate copy with the I-864. Damnit. I expect to receive an RFE for this.
  12. Forgot to add: With the biometrics will they contact me and give me a date/time/location for an appointment to attent?
  13. Hi all, I hope this is the right forum to post in. I entered on a K-1 and got married and have now filed an AOS + EAD based on this guide (extraordinarily helpful I must say) with a few extra bits of evidence around my partners finance such as W-2, etc that I've seen people say they get an RFE for. My question is, what happens next? I know processing times are long. But I'm not sure when I'm likely to hear anything from them to confirm they've received my packet? And is there a way I'll be able to track any progress made to my case? On a related note: I regularly see screenshots that show a timeline like I've linked at the bottom - I think this is people screenshotting their USCIS account, is there a way I'll be able to get my i-485 / i-765 added to my USCIS account to track the progress? I know that on the forms there was space for a USCIS number "(if any)" but while I have an account, I couldn't find a number and searching online led me to believe that to find your number you had to submit a form online, but I submitted via mail as all the guides I've seen seem to be based around that, and that's how we did the initial i-129f petition. reddit screenshot of somebodies uscis account:
  14. 1 - I thought so but I can't remember if it was a certificate, or a divorce decree (and tbh I don't really know the difference) - we submitted in May 2021 and I never saw it in person but I'm sure we submitted something related to the proof of divorce but the guy who interviewed me didn't seem to find it on the day of my interview. 2 - No 3 - No
  15. We found some of the forms irritating in that they had locked fields so you can't type in them for some reason, or the phone number field won't allow enough characters. Sometimes we had to use a tool to manually write over the PDF where we couldn't write in the fields, or I would inspect element on firefox to unlock the field. I don't think it would be a problem to simply include your current address there if there is still room for previous addresses. For question B, when we filled it out I had been in the US before so we checked 'Yes' for that, but I wasn't in the US when we submitted so we left the "If your beneficiary is currently in the United States" question blank.
  16. For me: 21 October - I had the interview, got a 221(g) and asked to submit the divorce certificate of my partner (the petitioner) 25 October - My visa was issued 26 October - I submit the divorce certificate they had asked for, courier told me it would be with them in a day. 27 October - I received the visa in the post today, issue date 25th October. Is this relatively common? I can't think why they would have changed their mind on the 221(g) unless they had another look through our petition documents and found that what we submitted for proof of divorce was enough. I also hope that the document I sent them won't re-open the case and interrupt anything, though I guess it shouldn't.
  17. Just done this and it says: U.S. Department of State NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION Issued Application ID or Case Number: REDACTED Case Created: 24-Oct-2022 Case Last Updated: 25-Oct-2022 Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application. For more information, please visit U.S. Embassy London. What does this mean?
  18. I got the SMS before I woke up, few hours before I'd even applied for the courier shipping label, and it's from the same company and I'm not expecting any other deliveries so I assume it's my passport. I also got an email from the embassy starting "The U.S. Department of State Consulate located in London has released document related to your Visa application to our courier DX Group. The document is being sent via the courier option you selected at registration." I asked the courier when my package would be shipped and he said tonight and should be with the embassy tomorrow morning.
