    Hi AriDavid,

I have been following this site to know what the backlog looks like https://visawhen.com/nvc
ans  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html I hope this helps

Seek an attorney before you do anything! Your work is a work from home position. You aren’t really remote. Your hired to work from home. Again, get an attorney.

Am I confusing this case with the one where the gentleman has already entered the USA? Are you sure your husband is not already here?

The number of African (let me limit it to Nigerians and Ghanaians, I am Ghanaian) husbands who will obtain an immigrant visa and then tell their American spouse to go ahead and cancel the visa because they want a divorce is less than 0.03%. Will a man dying of dehydration in the desert refuse a glass of water? 😁

Once again, are you very very very sure with incontrovertible evidence that your husband has not already entered the USA?

Shamondy got a reaction from Family in USCIS said my marriage certificate doesn’t look real and it’s altered [merged threads]
This marriage certificate is not acceptable at Lagos. Not only is it on the wrong form, it is also folded/creased. Folding/bending/creasing or any stains on the form is considered “altering.” You have no choice but to correct this.

Lagos operates by Secrion 24 of the Marriage Act and will only accept a marriage that is recorded on Form E- First Schedule. This means you must go to the Federal Republic of Nigeria Ministry of Interior to have your local government marriage recorded on that form.

    Hey LeoJazzy!

Don't frustrate yourself. Contact the Consular General. They should have your case.

Put an inquiry in to NVC asking them to contact USCIS to investigate where your petition is. USCIS will blame NVC and NVC will blame USCIS. Most likely, USCIS has not sent your petition to NVC. This happens often. Stay encouraged, this is a frustrating process, but an investigation is necessary at this point. Be encouraged.

Shamondy reacted to mam521 in part IV, the big IR1/CR1 DQ'd message group...
On our own. Just call USCIS and ask. You have to expedite there and then request again at NVC unless USCIS will actually send it to Montréal.

Hello everyone, hope you’re all well.
I just thought to make a thread for people waiting to get an interview in the consulate in Lagos, Nigeria (for all categories), so that we can keep track of how long the backlog currently is.
Could everyone who posts please specify when they were DQ’d and when they got their interview, if they’ve got one, please. Thanks so much!

    I'm F2B, and I got DQ on 19/01/2020

Shamondy got a reaction from Marshae04 in DS 260 Form Vs DS 261 Form
    Hello KayIgbokwe,

The DS-261 is just your appointing someone (besides you and the petitioner) to received communication regarding your file. I completed my filing online, and the DS-261 was just a set of questions on who I wanted to receive this information (not really a form at all). As for your DS-260 expiring the U.S. Embassy/Consulate will ask you to re-sign and bring the new confirmation (barcode) to the interview (once the interview date gets closer). You will probably be asked to update the tax return/proof of employment-income (possibly I-864 as well). Just my thoughts, and hopefully helpful.
