On the DS-160, use the information for the passport she has right now. It's great that you both are working together on the DS-160.

Gary Rich reacted to kcpaty in VJ Veterans.. I need you wisdom
Hi Gary. We just completed the process Nigeria. Not sure how they differ but once the NVC said Ready was when we completed the DS-160 form together. I printed the final forms for my beneficiary and shipped to him along with other documents that he needed i.e-bank statement, recent taxes etc, that need to accompany the i-134. Once the case was in transit I emailed the consulate 10 days later asking if it had arrived. Once it said ready we tried to schedule appt but had some glitches with site. My partner called embassy and he was scheduled. Not sure if it's the same for your consulate.

Gary Rich reacted to Chancy in Moving Questions Re: K1 Visa After 2nd NOA is Received [merged threads]
There is no requirement for the petitioner to live in the same address all throughout their beneficiary's K1 process. Petitioners are allowed to move residences anytime. Also no requirement for the address info to be "consistent" across all the evidence submitted from start to finish. There IS a requirement to be truthful in answering all the immigration forms and interview questions. Do not risk your beneficiary's immigration journey by misrepresenting your info just because you think no one will check. Just be truthful. Full stop.

For those still at NVC or "in transit" how is it going for you? Looks like I'm still stuck at embassy waiting for them to send us packet 3. All they say is to be patient.

Gary Rich reacted to Elays in How long did you have to wait for USCIS to approve your case after RFE?🤔
Oh wow that was fast! We suppose our RFE is related to my bf court criminal records (a DUI and a dismissed case)...we didnt know we had to send them with the initial petition...we just sent a DOJ background check bcs we thougth that was enough

Mines was approved after around 5 to 10 days.. not long at all. it all depends on what was RFE

Gary Rich reacted to powerpuff in Lease agreement as proof we met for K1 visa
I would forego the lease. We didn’t provide any hotel receipts or anything like that.
Actual boarding passes and passport stamps would be a better choice

It's a RFE but I'm so so happy I'm crying so hard😭❤️
We were expecting a RFE bcs we forgot to sent my bf criminal court records so we suppose the RFE is related to that😭❤️
I will keep you all updated😭❤️

Gary Rich reacted to Mike E in K1 Wrong Address
No worries. In the future (i.e any thing for the K-1 visa the consulate uses, I-485 packet, I-751, and N-400), use DHL next day service. This way it goes directly to the DoS/USCIS facility. Always send on a Monday that is not a federal holiday so that it arrives before Saturday and you are not stressing over it sitting outside the office all weekend.
That is too bad, because I-129F was the simplest part of the process. I-129F was not the better choice for someone who is prone to stress. Also I-130 can be filed online.

After inquiring weekly, we just got our case number from NVC inquiry 3 days ago (NOA2 4/20), now it's already at the Embassy with a status of Ready, so guess we just wait for the packet now. It's all finally happening! and fast!

Gary Rich reacted to AnnaDT in Should I be worried about my case?
I had a very similar experience, around my case everyone received some kind of news and my case looked like it was left behind. It wasn't! It's the anxiety unfortunately.
I got my NOA2 after 406 days but they are speeding up. I'm betting next week you'll be celebrating

We got our approval 462 days. It's an emotional roller coaster. I was among the last 5% to get approved and some are still waiting.

The average time from NOA1 to NOA2 is 388 days per other VJ members. News is on the horizon...

Gary Rich reacted to powerpuff in Should I be worried about my case?
There’s a processing range for I-129f and the lower limit is 16.5 months. The upper limit (at which you can file an inquiry with USCIS) you can find out by inputting your receipt date on uscis processing page when you select I-129f, here’s what it showed for June 27, 2022:
