  1. I just added my wife to my insurance through work, not much effort required there. Doubled the monthly cost but worth it for the peace of mind.
  2. I see so many problems with this but your first stop is the guides here for K1 and CR1 visas. Do you have a US passport? I can’t imagine how hard it’s going to be for you if you’ve never even lived in the US before.
  3. I literally typed this into the search bar here and got many hits all with the same advice: do not do any sort of ceremony and apply for a K1 https://www.visajourney.com/sitesearch/?cx=partner-pub-3407508467788263%3A9725800110&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=UTF-8&q=K1+wedding+ceremony&sa=Search
  4. If you read the CR1 process guide here everything is answered there including docs, examples of proof etc
  5. Sadly this is not the place to be sending this letter, no one here can do anything with this info
  6. Things are moving along well for us, got work permit already. See our timeline for details. Much better than the VJ and USCIS own estimates, but VJ estimates are based on timeline analysis and not everyone fills theirs in.
  7. This has been discussed here many times in the relevant visa forums and all the Facebook groups set up for visa processing tracking, as well as YouTube videos.
  8. That’s pretty cool, the times for these seem to be many months quicker than any estimates show
  9. It would help the site to update your timeline with this info
  10. You could post a question on the embassy forum here and ask people who were recently approved how long it took to get their passport back. That’s what I did.
  11. Thanks! I already have a will, I have a good financial advisor. We just need to take a break from the USCIS stuff before getting back into the fray.
  12. Yeah I’d recommend looking at family therapy pronto. Everyone apart from you is acting like kids and only three of them are kids. Your fiancée needs to get real about her situation.
  13. Just an appreciation post. My Polish fiancée got her K1 visa approved (it’s all in my timeline 😊). We filed in October 2021. It’s been a long process but we’re nearly there. A lot of people here provided the great guides and timely helpful responses when I had questions. Thank you to all the kind people. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
  14. People are as meticulous here as the USCIS is. Never forget that. No one wants to waste their time on bogus posts or fake accounts.
  15. turbotax (the app, if it’s the website I’m not sure but I’d be surprised if this was not the case) allows you to just print your filled-out tax forms for paper filing. You don’t need to re-enter anything again or fill anything out by hand. For goodness sake don’t do that…
  16. Married filing jointly for those like me who were wondering what on earth you were talking about 😅
  17. 😅 oh she’s young is she? I don’t get why you brought that up. If this was a movie I’d say it was a Freudian slip but whatever. I hope everything pans out.
  18. Maybe I’m reading too much into it but you seem to be infantilizing your wife when you mention her, not a good look. Everyone makes mistakes and there is a straightforward remedy that doesn’t involve shipping her card to a war zone or damaging her card and passport. Hopefully that’s just your frustration coming through…
