    Well my wife will be eligible to apply for citizenship in 10 months and the I751 will maybe happen in 2 years based on current processing times so I don’t think it will matter.

    Nah that’s a weird take. Anyone doing the K1 route should have everything planned out for what they’re going to do the first few weeks their partner steps foot here. Imagine waiting 60 days, that’s 60 more days to wait for work permit and ability to travel.

    There are lots of guides out there for what to do after getting married from K1. Don’t dawdle, get everything filed asap re AOS and work permit etc. You don’t need to send your life story, just some examples of what they ask for. I’ve never sent chats or phone records or anything like that. Definitely don’t overthink it.

    Can someone answer this question ELI5 😂. My wife came in on a K1, she has a two year conditional green card. We are about to file for removal of conditions. Our 2nd anniversary was in early July. She is returning from Europe on Wed. Is this post saying she could ask to be granted a 10 year green card without us having to through the whole removal of conditions rigamarole? thanks!

    My wife is polish, we needed no “not married” doc when getting married in Pennsylvania

    Are you guys deliberately trying to fail the application? Are you really taking this seriously? Get him a state Id already!

    I don’t think this is a good excuse not to file taxes or file for an extension. Taxes can be filed late with a penalty, but not filing them at all is asking for trouble

    If you do that I’m pretty sure the offer would be rescinded

    I’m pretty sure you can refile your taxes back 3 years so when you get the SSN, you will hopefully get the tax credits applied
