My I 130 visa processing done at NVC, paid fees submitted all documents, got the last email from NVC on April. waiting for interview call at mumbai counsulate.Can any one tell me about your status of I 131 visa processing after NVC approval? Did you get any interview call?
As soon as you are Documentarily Qualified at the NVC then you will be in queue for interview at your Embassy. Then, it depends on how many cases are before you at the NVC and how busy your Embassy is. It used to take 60 -90 days but unpredictable after the pandemic. Good luck!!!

Hi it’s for my husband he said it went well asked him a few questions. How old is your wife, where did you meet, where you got married, where does she live. It was approved but unfortunately his medical was not completed so he has to wait for embassy to receive medical results then he has to submit passport then get it back hopefully soon.
Glad to hear that! Congratulations!

Hi Ahava,
Thank you for your help.
He called 6 or 7 times yesterday, there's automated secretary saying that they are not giving case status updates and the call just hungs up.
We will send them an email, that public inquiry, but they are currently processing those from May 27th.Did anyone call them these days and actually got a person to talk to?
I actually called them yesterday. The wait time was about 2hrs. Consistently keep dailing back when it automatically hangs up until it says "this call may be recorded..." And generally better to call at around 6Am (PT)or Evenings(PT).

Hi, I am sorry to hear we are in the same boat.
My husband and I got on May 8th 2021 "Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case", on May 12th we resubmitted what was asked from us.
Even though NVC updated that they are processing cases submitted on May 18th, we still didn't receive any response. We resubmitted on May 12th, and it just says "submitted".
I wish I had something relevant to tell you.
If the NVC posted window period for reviewing documents has passed. You should call them and inquire about your case. Sometimes what they see from their side is different from what we see on CEAC. NVC - 603 334 0700.

Hello, congratulations on your interview.
Do you get to choose on when to have the Oath ceremony?

I have few parking tickets and a red light camera ticket few years ago, how do I get a full record to bring it with me to the interview? I did not report them in my application.
Hello, these kind of tickets are called infractions. I have never heard anyone get asked for their infractions by USCIS. I guess it is common to get a parking ticket in Seattle area.

I am amazed NVC did not tell you to translate your documents. Well, good luck with everything now!

You think Having a job is good enough reason to get it approved? I know its a long shot but really dont want to let this opportunity go.!!
If not having the job will put you in a financial hardship then you have a case.

hi everyone,
my wife interview was yesterday, the interview wen well and they provided her rights in USA but the officer say that cant process the visa because is missing the English translation of her birth certificate, marriage certificated, and UAE police clearance! they give her 221G and say that we need to upload this in our ceac account and send email to notified that we did the updated, and say that after that she well need to send her passport vie empost for completing the application, we was very exited but mistake of the lawyer put us in this situation!! ant suggest or if someone that had the same issue can advise what's next and how can overcome this really helps . thank you
Hey, it looks like the documents should be translated(certified) to English. Make sure to provide all what the counslar officer required of you.
Most police certificates has expiration dates, make sure the police certificate is up to date as well.
Good luck!!!
Here is a link about transilations:

Just as a reminder, when referring to the monthly visa issuance form
FX visa class is - spouse of a lawful permanent resident.
For example,
Manila - FX - 31
31 Fx visas were issued in April 2021 at Manila Embassy.

No worries!
You can see it here how many visas for each category is issued every month at Manila Embassy.
Everyone can check the monthly visa issuance statistics here,
The statistics usually come out around the 20th day of every month for the previous month.

Hello everyone.
My husband case was DQ since April 21, 2021; however the case is still stuck at NVC. I am now expected to graduate June 17th 2021. I thought my husband would be here for my big day. It has been stressful knowing that he might not make it.
Dose anyone have information What is the documentarliy qualified date the U.S. embassy in Addis Abeba Ethiopia?
Also please share your journey with ir1/cr1 visa processing, expected waiting time since March 2020.
Thak you.
IR1/CR1 visas have improved and are improving every month at Addis Ababa Embassy. I hope you will get yours soon.

Just updating this to say that feedback in other threads suggests that the wait for resubmitted documents is the same as the wait for the first review, approximately 5 weeks at the moment.
Mine took around a month to get a review for a resubmitted document but for my friend it only took 5 days after resubmission to be DQed.

We too received a notice about our marriage cert which I promptly re-uploaded to show the apostille on the back page - submitted 09 June
Decided to add joint sponsor instead of risking interview - til now, still shows as "N/A" so unable to upload additional documents for joint sponsor.Not sure if NVC has to approve joint sponsor before moving on to upload tax returns etc.
Here's to wishing us luck @EKT that we don't wait the entire 5 weeks before a response!
The website says it takes about two hours to show what you added and pay fees but it can take more than that till they approve what you have added.

You can call or send a message to NVC to add the newborn: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/national-visa-center/nvc-contact-information.html
After the newborn is added, submit a DS-260 for the newborn and pay the associated DS-260 fee.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it.
Do you think if the system will put the case in the same que as it was or we will loose our current que for interview? If it faster to do the process when the case is at the Embassy, then may be wait!?

Permanent resident
That is an option. Another option is to just apply for a US passport for the child: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/all-forms/n-600-application-for-certificate-of-citizenship-frequently-asked-questions "Am I required to file a Form N-600 for a Certificate of Citizenship? No. You are not required to file a Form N-600 for a Certificate of Citizenship. The Certificate of Citizenship is an optional form. A validly issued U.S. passport generally serves as evidence of your U.S. citizenship during its period of validity unless that passport has been revoked by the Department of State."
Process for US passport: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/Intercountry-Adoption/adopt_ref/adoption-FAQs/child-citizenship-act-of-2000.html
you will need to present the following when applying for your child's U.S. passport:
- Proof of the child’s relationship to the U.S. citizen parent. For the biological child of a U.S. citizen, this generally will be a certified copy of the foreign birth certificate (and a translation if the birth certificate is not in English). For an adopted child, you must submit a certified copy of the final adoption decree (and a translation if the decree is not in English);
- Proof the child is admitted as a lawful permanent resident, such as the child’s foreign passport with a I-551 stamp, or the child's permanent resident card (green card);
- Proof of identity and citizenship of the U.S. citizen parent(s);
- Evidence the child is residing in the United States in the legal and physical custody of the U.S. citizen parent;
- Completed Form DS-11 and supporting documents.
Hello HRQX
First of all thank you for your accurate and breif responses.
I posted a question earlier but haven't found relevant responses yet. I would just ask you here.
I am just getting ready to add my newborn as derivative.
1. The case is still at NVC. Is it possible to add derivative after DQ? Will the derivative reqiure Ds 260/fee separately?
We have been DQ since June 2020.
2. Can doing so through CEAC and working with NVC again put us back from our que?
Thank you in advance!
