If u can not schedule the medical exam, go to the interview
the CO will put the case in AP (CEAC site will say refused-do not worry about that) while they wait for medical and any other additional documents they may ask for

Yes that’s the generic email you get when your case is currently being shipped from NVC to your country’s embassy

My Fiance just got an email (k1-ftp) and case status is 'Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.'
Is this the default email they send?

I finally received my visa in the mail yesterday! Finally I can be with my fiancé together in person next week after separated for 3 years.
For those who are still waiting, be patient! I hope you'll soon be together in person with your loved one

The next step would be actually applying for the visa. So on the next form you need to fill -the DS-160- and all the subsequent forms you'll need to file, enter the info correctly.
You can also make an e-request to get the mistake fixed.
