It's all over! Like I posted previously her N400 interview was held 16Sep25. Oath ceremony schedule notice was posted 24Sep25 for a ceremony Friday 10Oct25. Had a great citizenship party with friends and neighbors on Saturday and got lucky today with the local quiet DMV being open on Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day. Now the US passport application is complete 1,710 days after being married. Big thanks to all the posters on here that lent expert help and lots of support.

Had our N400 interview on 16Sep. Went well. Wife passed her test without error. Was told by our case officer that he is approving our I751 and recommending our N400 for approval. And then he shared that if our appointment had been before noon at Minneapolis-St. Paul she could have been sworn in same-day. 🫠 Would have been nice to have it all done in one go. But I guess now we just wait for the interview appointment letter.

Late to the party here but figured I should chip in incase other Minnesotans need info. I realized after a trip to see wife's family in South Africa that we were due to file her N400. Filed online 28May25 and got the receipt same day. Interview schedule notice came on 07Aug25 for an afternoon appointment Tuesday 16Sep25. My wife says her least favorite subject in school was history, but she's having fun making flashcards for her civics test and I expect she will do just fine. Hoping to be sworn in same day. Crossing fingers with everyone in the thread!
