I thought that too. I was just trying to see if anybody knows why there hasn’t been many (if any) towards the end of September yet

I would expect that it will be other visa categories that they will run in those dates and not IR1/CR1's.

When I had my interview earlier this month, there isn't a very large space on the 1st floor dedicated to the area that I was waiting in, I think maybe 5 or 6 windows with people returning to them for civil documents then bac to interview and go through the oath etc.  On that basis and the fact they are still trying to not have great loads of people in the building, I suspect that they will be dividing their weeks up accordingly.

This being done, in the spirit of hopeful preparedness what do we need for our medical? I've seen different things around (some saying we only need a vaccination record and others a full medical summary, and elsewhere we'd need a Drs letter too?) Can anyone advise?

I took my medical summary. I'd only just moved GP and medical records were stuck, I had the copy from the new GP with basically nothing on and luckily a copy of the front page of summary from the previous GP. The medical people were OK with that (think it's mainly to see significant and minor pasts) but you do need the summary.

Some summaries have the vaccination record on, I had mine spread across info from the 80's 90's and occupational health from an old job 3 or 4 years ago and as long as they have your name on it somewhere they seemed OK with that. Worst case if you can't show it the you'll need to either fork out for the jabs there and then or go to your own doctor and get them done then get your doctor to write to the medical people, which of course delays the visa.

I had some medical history for depression and low mood so took a letter with me from my current private therapist detailing that with some specific phrases in that had been mentioned within the UK portal in other threads. The medical people talked through that. There was no mention of it at the window in the interview today.

I imagine if there any ongoing issues that you may have in that medical summary, there maybe a requirement for a letter or note from a doctor or specialist giving detail around the ongoing treatments, prognosis etc. Hopefully someone else might be able to give advice on that though as I can't be too sure.

Hope my experience helps a bit though.

That’s exactly why they ask for the Patient Care Summary. They want to know if you ever suffered from depression among other things.  Back when I went through the medical, we could just lie and they would never know.

So with all my care summaries from all of my doctors its 22 pages long with the consultations sections in as well as I'm in my 40's. Does that seem correct?

I've read other threads about a couple of pages of A4 is correct and they don't want all of the additional info. I'm trying to understand what is correct and how far back historically they want to go in these notes etc. Becuase it says if it's over 10 pages they also need more time.

The consultations section seems to be in depth notes on each doctor visit, which i've read on here people say is not what is required. So I feel like there is conflicting information.

I was hoping people might have had similar situations not necessarily the whole situation but experience with one or two parts for example.

  4. So having put my original post in the wrong forum I have started over and I am asking a few extra questions regarding the UK medical requirement on the summary care.

Do the medical people want all of the information in the consultations, or is it up until that point?  If they want all of that information, has anyone that has previously had depression etc had issues at the medical because of what was in that section?

Also how far back do they want me to go, I only just registered at my local GP in February 2021 and they are still waiting or some info so I have emails of around 22 pages worth of different summaries.

    Any help gratefully received!!

The embassy only sends out interview invitation letters monthly, right?

Yes, it seems to be middle of the month when they notify judging by post history here.

So we would expect another group of folks to get notified in mid-August for September interviews, but not before mid-August?

I would say hope, rather than expect at the moment (sadly).

You'll need the DS-260 confirmation page, as it's one of the documents you need to take with you to the interview.

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/LND-London.html#pre_interview_checklist

Will still be fun trying to find the thing! As the attorneys did all of the work on it, I'm hoping they have it.  Pretty sure I can ask them after I'm done at work, certainly not worrying about that right this second.

Your DS260 number is on the bottom of the confirmation page, under the barcode....it would have been in an email you received when you submitted the ds260. If you do a quick Google image search, you'll see where I mean.

This will be a fun thing to try and find that then! 😫I'm, hoping that I have it saved somewhere!  Or the attorney does!

Woke up to the glorious email letting us know my husband's interview is booked.

    DQ'd was 1st February

    Interview is 2nd of August

So glad to see so many of you have gotten your interviews!!! ❤️

What I've read, it's usually 2-4 weeks to process the visa? Does that sound right to you all?

I wouldn't like to get too carried away with how quick that process is after it all coming to a bit of a grinding halt recently.

I will say though that it was looking quicker than that in May but I think if you work on the 2-4 week basis and it turns up before a couple of weeks then that's awesome! (That's my crazy thought process on it at least! :) )

SO EXCITED FOR YOU!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! We were DQ 26th Feb and I've JUST come down with Covid so hopefully things line up for us.

So happy for you and happy to hear things are moving.

Thank so so much, appreciate your words. I hope that you don't get too ill with it!

So this Website uses algorithms that compile all the data released by the Department of State to estimate how long it takes to get a visa at any given time. This only takes into account data up until May, and expedites might skew the data somewhat, but you can see the embassy has been doing its thing for a while now. In other words, they were 1.2 months behind schedule back in May. We don't have stats for June so don't know if they did some visas or nothing at all.

You can search for any consulate or even NVC timeframes.

Also, probably worth noting that those are visas that are issued and don't necessarily relate to having had an interview in the same month or having been denied a visa at the interview time.....worth bearing in mind against the data.....which is still useful to see what they were doing.  Does still support that we knew that they were working in May but we think not so much in June and July.  Essentially we are still waiting to see what happens this month and hope for interviews for August to be released.

That seems right, May was about the last time that interviews weren't quite so sparsely available by all accounts.  June & July seem o have been the "dry" months so far.

Guessing is honestly all we have. Being happy about something is easy to say, and certainly we need to do that, but this whole thing is getting hard. You prep so long and gear yourself up for each stage but you reach the final stretch that's only supposed to take 2-3 months only to find out its a 4-6month wait at least, possibly, maybe... It's a big yikes. Yes, we will wait patiently. We're experts at that now. Doesn't mean it doesn't suck or that looking for news can't be helpful. This is the only place I've found any concrete info, and it wasn't from previous timelines.

For me personally, I have found that updated timelines have helped me to see who has interviews booked through the portals and the timeline information and if filled in properly figure out when they were DQ'd etc to try and figure out how long I might be waiting, of course that has been blown out the water June/July anyway. I do get it though, not everyone is comfortable with sharing certain information online.

How are Jan/Feb DQ'd people getting on? Has anyone whose not expedited heard anything in regards to interviews yet?x

I've heard nothing as yet, fingers crossed it might be this week sometime, not sure that I can go another month with zero movement at all for either us or those around us to give some confidence it's going through.  The waiting game continues!

  12. 3 minutes ago, EmliS said:

    Of course!

So I was DQ'd in Moscow in October 2020, then transferred to London in May 2021 sue to finishing a work contract, then June 2021 received an interview date. I wasn't expedited either!

    Ask away, I don't mind!

I would guess with your October date, they have given some preference to clear it off the system.  Maybe they will be getting into the bulk of others next month then. Fingers crossed at least

How far back are they with backlogs? I think I posted a few pages back, but I'm waiting on the Bogota, Colombia embassy, but am considering switching it to London. My residency/visa is also expired here, so I'm not even sure Bogota will consider me when it comes round to it. I am a UK citizen.

Bogota is only just getting round to the October/November 2020 DQs. Is London any worse than that? I got my DQ in May about a month ago.

January/February 2021 I think would be the next dates to go through if/when they do them.

That is making assumptions off how they were running them previously, so would take that guess with a pinch of salt in the current climate!!

Has any over 120 days DQ had the email acknowledging that? I got the 60 day but nothing for 120 🤔

Sending everyone love and positivity. The stress and anxiety is real! Hopefully interviews will happen soon! 🙏 xx

DQ'd Feb and same as others, no emails apologising for a delay or anything.  Can't say I've ever seen anyone write about that in this thread since I joined just before I DQ'd either.

Just waiting for something to happen, as ever!

What do you mean you’ve been at this for 3 years? When did you get DQ-ed?

Process as a whole.  DQ'd Feb 23rd having been held up for 13 months by inept attorneys (a whole other story not required in this thread) then of course now in COVID backlogs and all else that is adding to the slow down.

To me this is insane, there has to be some why that this can get the attention of someone. Contacting your prime minister would do something right? I honestly don't know who I would contact in the US to help out. I am willing and ready. I as many of you just cant sit here and wait day by day while nothing is moving. something needs to get done. as stated earlier this is a paid service and with time lines. Honestly there has to be something more then an automated message, or am I thinking too deep into this. Stop me if I am getting carried away.

I don't think that our PM will be able to expedite anything as this is a US embassy issue.  Most of those who have had K1 visa issues have had to join class action law suits in the US to try to get their visa issuances granted (I can't remember the group law suit name). My wife has even written to her equivalent of a local MP in the US to no avail.

Sadly (so far as I understand it at least) getting hold of anyone seems to be a problem.  Our attorneys have even said, once in the system and through the various stages of i130 then DQ etc etc you have to sit and wait to be called.  I guess it's like being in line at the DMV or various other government institutions both here and in the US, the more you shout and make a scene, the more likely it seems people ignore you.

From all I've read over the past few months in this thread and a lot of others, patience really is the overriding factor.  I definitely get how you feel, we've been at this almost 3 years, it takes it's toll!

    Hello everyone,

I just wanted to share some new information that I have been made aware of during the past couple of days.

My father holds a senior position with a well known broadcasting company (cannot share specifics for obvious reasons). Yesterday he spoke with a contact he has with the Belfast consulate, NI. This person informed my dad that the London Embassy is overflowing with complaints, particularly from the media. They explained that during the G7 Summit, almost the entire staff of the UKE were sent to Cornwall (leaving the embassy almost completely unmanned), hence the high number of complaints.

This person is trying their best to grab some sort of information regarding CR1 interviews and the timeline to at least give us encouragement and hope to cling on to. I do believe that now that the G7 Summit has come to a close, we are not going to be left behind for much longer.

    Hang in there.

I was only half joking when I said a couple of weeks ago that the Biden visit was probably the issue!

    Interesting stuff though!

Also joining this thread as we are now DQ as of a few days ago.

It's very disheartening to see that people from Jan/Feb still don't have interview dates. That means it's likely at least another 4-6 months before we will hear anything. We're currently just a couple of weeks away from the one year anniversary of submitting our I-130 and to still be facing such a substantial wait is heartbreaking.

Thank you to everyone who has been posting in this thread, it really helps to see what is going on with others and be able to understand the situation a little better.

Let's hope for everyone's sake they release a whole big bunch of interview slots soon to make up for the recent complete lack of interviews. I guess that is all we can do right now.

    Yeah,

Sadly there isn't a lot more that we can do currently it seems.  That is the most frustrating thing for my wife and I, the lack of being able to do anything. It really is the waiting that kills you at the moment.

It took us over 12 months to get the DQ (Not just COVID related but mistakes by attorneys) so we are rolling round to our 3rd anniversary and also towards 3 years of a very drawn out process.  I'm pretty envious of people who are managing to get through this in 24 months or less in total!!

This place is a God send when I discovered it and it is nice to know share with those in the same boat and see what is going on, even if it is to know that everyone else is sharing pain to a similar degree.  When it moves along a bit at the embassy then it certainly does perk us ALL up that's for sure! :)  Keep staying positive!
