  1. If it’s going to speed up the process, it’s worth of doing it. It’s been almost two years since we submitted his I-751. Is the citizenship test done at the time of interview (considering it goes smoothly)?
  2. Thank you. It doesn’t seem overly complicated. We might wait another year to file under the 5-year rule. Hopefully, his pending I-751 gets approved in a meantime.
  3. Thank you for always being so helpful in your responses. My husband is the one applying. He has been a resident for almost four years now. So basically, if applied based on 3-years rule, the marital evidence is needed but not when the 5 years of residency requirement is met, correct?
  4. Thanks a lot. That brings some ease on me thinking about the amount of work we had to put in to gather all the evidence for I-751.
  5. We are also November 2023 filers with I-751 still pending. Haven’t filed the N-400 yet, to be honest didn’t even realize that we could do it with I-751 still pending up until recently. I am not sure if it makes sense to apply for N-400 at this point. I would appreciate if someone could provide some insight on this; is it lengthy application process requiring amount of evidence like we had to do with I-751? Thanks in advance.
  6. Sorry, I am a bit confused about the 90 day rule. Applying for N-400 within the 90 days prior to you completing a continuous residence requirement is the earliest time eligible for application, but we can also apply anything later, correct?
  7. Did you have your biometric appointment by now, and how did it go?
  8. There is a worksheet (AIW) along with ASC appt notice that needs to be completed before the appt. It is asking for name, dob, country of birth and citizenship as well as race, gender, weight, height, eye and hair color.
  9. The I-797 notice we received in the mail is showing this address. Which service center is this?
  10. Sorry about late reply, I just didn’t catch this sooner. I think you should be fine considering you have already filed taxes for 2018 even though it hasn’t been processed yet. You can show the proof of filing taxes for that year. Are you required to bring the actual tax returns for the last five years for your interview?
  11. Is that a different form in addition to biometric appointment notice? The appt notice has two pages and one has to be filled out with biometric information.
  12. Yes, the appointment will be attended. We just want to make sure we have the right documents before the appt. Also, my husband doesn’t speak perfect English. I wonder if it ok for me to go with him for his biometric appt just in case he might need some help or is it just in and out type of thing? I don’t know how biometric appt looks like.
  13. I am just reading the instructions for biometric appointment, and it says to bring the ASC appointment notice (Form I-797C), but the version I printed online doesn’t have form I-797C written on it, just ASC Appointment Notice. Does your version state Form I-797C anywhere?
