Kev & Lexi reacted to AishaniA93 in AUGUST 2021 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY
We called NVC yesterday, our NOA2 was August 11. They said they received our case on August 25 but would not have it processed for another week or so, if that timeline helps
he called at around 7.30am EST and was on hold for 90 min

I was kind of bummed when I read "however, the volume and type of visa cases each post will process continues to depend on local conditions, including restrictions on movement and gathering imposed by host country governments" because the Montreal consulate is terribly backlogged at the moment. Then I was uplifted by statement that included the maximizing of accommodations for fiancé(e) visas! That's amazing. Hopefully this really helps us.

Hey guys,
Just sharing the most recent update from the travel state department. It was really nothing new from the April 6th update informing us of the Tiered approach, but it does appear they are trying to force embassies who are backlogged to take schedule more appointments in the immediate relative and k1 fiance visas. Hopefully we see more interviews in the next couple of months.

Good morning/afternoon/evening all (covering the world here as my fiancee is already celebrating her evening)
I wanted to honestly tell you all that when I started packing for the move and drove, I think I checked my USCIS app only once in the evening upon arrival to my hotel (actually it was 1am arrival). I say this because I saw that my case was not looked at, then I took a few hours nap and continued my journey. The next time I checked was after I was unloaded and in my new place. This is when I saw the RFE. For me, I was definitely excited, even though I didn't jump around the place because I was tired. I really was not expecting any information until September at the soonest just with the way the cases were being processed. I am going to say like I've been saying as I believe nothing has changed on this forum or with our daily lives. Keep concentrating on your future life partner, especially if you are the petitioner. It is kind of like when both people are tasked with something, but before the 2nd person starts their task, the first has to complete their task. We as the petitioners are completing this first task and our beneficiaries are going to be looking to us for updates and answers. We just need to look back at them with full reassurance that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It might seem far away, but even just a pinhole is a light and it might be far away because we can only walk and not run. The thing is, we are all still on this journey. It does not stop with the NOA-2. I really really hope the best for everyone, whether you already have your NOA-2, have an RFE or are still waiting for something.
I realized after writing all of this that in the past threads to this post, I did say I felt like I was going to get an RFE. My suggestion to the awesome couples waiting, tell yourselves as a couple that you will be approved. Also, know that no matter what status you receive (RFE or approval) there is going to be a few days of delay to possibly receiving the paper copy (or email). I would just check every few days or every other day and just keep saying that you are going to get approved. Have confidence. Don't doubt it, believe it! And truly be strong for each other as this will not be the only life trial that you all will face together.

Just finished moving to houston and I refreshed my case status to see an RFE. But, that means it was looked at . I will let you all know as mine will be a little more delayed because of the rerouting of the move and the site being down when i tried to change addresses before i packed.

We were approved today August 27th, NOA1 January 15th.
Good luck to everyone on this forum, and a special mention to Keithn85. Although I was really busy with moving around these last few months, I had logged on a few times here and saw his posts that were really uplifting. Hope we all get to the finish line soon!

Ours is 2 weeks right now as well (Aug 11 approval) - we are going to wait at least another 2 weeks because it doesn’t seem like cases are getting to the NVC earlier than at least 4 weeks

Hi all,
Just an update...I received my I-797 notice today. Although I was approved on 8/19, the notice date says 8/18 and valid from 8/18 to 12/17.

Thank you for your kind comment. I usually use magic 🎩
On a serious note, when I filed petition for my Fiance back in January I stumbled here on Visa Journey and a lot of the senior members had a system similar to this going in many threads, September, October etc.
So I started compiling data from the case tracker app and typed almost 18000 wac numbers and then separated them based on what they were then created this chart based on what works for me easiest, rest is all excel. It's time consuming, but helps me deal with the anxiety of waiting 😅.
I am hoping our file number comes soon, we are NOA1 on 26th Jan, so if you like my chart send us lots of prayers 🙏 ❤
Thanks

Kev & Lexi reacted to Chancy in K1 Visa-NVC-Montreal
Yes, Montreal continues to process K1 visa cases. According to the Montreal K1 tracker cited by the folks over at the Canada regional forum, current wait time from I-129F NOA2 (petition approval) to visa interview is around 8 months -- https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yXsBaODEcERCnBkkVhTklmw1LrFVkY9dE6z2Q5D2kCc/edit?fbclid=IwAR2y6wgSsyW0DjDRDar0yqH8FCHNhfWPeSX7HyJCSuCRGjkAfvquzrZSrKo#gid=1154446973

Rolling the dice that the march notification of assigned cases (the January cases that were assigned a case # in the first/2nd week of march) get some status updates in the next couple days. And hoping the best for everyone. In the past few days, I've been sweet talking the app and phone because they have been overworked with refreshes.
Just stay focused on that relationship with your future life partner and know again, we are much further along than we were in January when we sent off the packet and March when we received the notification of receipt and creation of our cases. By the way, when I type all this stuff, I am normally including myself because I have to remind myself of all of this.

Kev & Lexi reacted to Navis Chra in JULY 2021 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY
Hey all! Just got my NOA2 on July 13. As happy as we are to get to this step, we still don't know how long it will take for the consulate to give us an interview date. Looks like NOA2 from November 2020 are getting interview dates for august 2021 in Montreal consulate That's worrisome. I hope the interviews go through faster since the approval notice itself is only valid for 3 months. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us. Good Luck!

My fiancé and I were approved on the 13th of August and our letter of intent did have the wording "willing and legally able to marry". I suppose it depends on the officer reviewing your packet.

Kev & Lexi reacted to J&D1008 in JANUARY 2021 I-129F K-1 FILERS (merged)
Thats not really true. I used those same words for letter of intent and was approved without RFE. I saw that specific Admin trying to make the statement of not using the word "intent" would get an RFE but another Admin clarified that its more about the evidence of intent to marry and not the words of the letter . That person who got RFE only had sent the letter with pictures of a ring and no other evidence on how they met, relationship started etc.
