The last prosecution that was attempted on the grounds of blasphemy in Australia dates back almost 100 years. In Germany, there were 10 prosecutions under the law over the past half century - the most recent resulted in a suspended sentence and 300 hours of community service. There is an active debate in the country to abolish the 1867 law under which certain blasphemy is prohibited. Same goes for the rest of the western world. There may be laws on the books from way back when but those laws usually don't have any teeth and are rarely, if ever, invoked.

You know, he may not be the best on the trail but he is actually a very strong debater. PA is interesting. Philly city center is nice, then there's a layer of ####### around it and the burbs are very very nice. Once you leave the Philly burbs there are pockets of nice like parts of the lehigh valley but most of the state is absolute garbage. That depends on whether he's "blocking out noise", such as other world leaders attending the U.N., or describing the deaths of the US Ambassador to Libya and 3 other US citizens as "bumps in the road."
I don't rate either candidate as good debaters, when they have no forewarning of the questions or topics. I want to see a debate, not a pre-planned sequence of practiced responses. We won't get that, and that's disappointing.

Two years? Two years is a mere blip in terms of the time required to undo the mess than has been created over decades.

Granted, we haven't had a real debate in this country for the past several elections. Anytime you have a moderator and a 60-120 second time limit, it's not a "debate." - It's a Q&A session with the most simple of answers to appease an ignorant base.
