Actually, the real polls show Romney winning this thing hands down. Politico is run by left wing hacks.

Daily Swing State Tracking Poll

Swing State Daily Tracking: Obama 47%, Romney 44%

In the 11 swing states, the president earns 47% of the vote, and Mitt Romney is supported by 44%. Four percent (4%) are not sure, and five percent (5%) are undecided.

In 2008, Obama won these states by a combined margin of 53% to 46%, virtually identical to his national margin.

This is Obama’s widest lead since late August, although his highest level of support in a month of Swing State surveying has only been 48%. Romney has topped out at 47% in that same period.

When “leaners” are factored in, Obama receives 49% of the vote to Romney's 46%. Leaners are those who are initially uncommitted to the two leading candidates but lean towards one of them when asked a follow-up question.

Fourteen percent (14%) of white Democrats prefer Romney.

Looks a little closer here, but with early voting, Romney will be getting diminishing returns all the way to election day. Romney better have a stellar performance at the Oct 3 debate, and Obama needs to screw up badly, to turn this trend around.

Politico's Facebook feed is reporting that Romney just gave the "best-prepared and best-delivered" speech of the campaign so far... at the Clinton Foundation.

It was also a speech tailored less to the specifics of the 2012 election, and more for an audience of philanthropists and business executives — the kind of speech a non-candidate might give.

This might be the point he turns this ship around!

Obama is speaking now. Fox will cover the speech, as soon as Obama says something stupid. TOTUS, however, seems to be functioning within parameters.

He doesn't have to say anything stupid. He just has to say something that can later be sliced and diced to sound like he did.

Can't wait for Romney to open his mouth again LOL rofl.gif

You know, he may not be the best on the trail but he is actually a very strong debater. He more or less came of age in conference room and board room settings, so it's not surprising he isn't the best on the road... but put him behind a podium in a nice climate controlled environment with a bottle of vitamin water and he simply can't be beat.
