I like to think that staying in any country for a decent amount of time is what should make you a citizen. Paperwork is admin stuff. I am of course referring to being here legally and not getting into arguments of illegally or legally.
Ignore the last one. Many people either get things done real quickly or fall in that 20% whose cases take over a year. Mine says 3 months but I truly don’t believe it.
When was the case dismissed? Reach out to the lawyer, bring in all the documents you have and get a consult. If they think your case might raise flags, withdraw the application
