  1. How long have they lived in US in total? Here is something you need to be aware of “Avoid cumulative trips that add up to at least half of the required residence period (30 months for a five-year permanent resident or 18 months for a three-year permanent resident married to a U.S. citizen).”
  2. The photo they take there isn’t for the certificate (or at least they didn’t use mine that day). Mine is from when I looked like a baby. So not a bad thing for me now that I am a lot older
  3. That is correct! I used paper filling and that’s exactly what happens
  4. As few of the folks have noticed you will see a change at the end of the 90 day mark that puts you over and at 3 year mark. So maybe next week you will see some movement
  5. That makes complete sense. yea, that's why I asked @Frankjavir to link to the actual content in the bill. Also I like this rule. AI hallucinations are real.
  6. traffic violation, unless more than $500, won't make a difference at all. Don't worry about it.
  7. Yes, I think @OldUser in a thread that this option is no longer a working option. Get an appointment at SSA office and just take the passport or CON as proof. Make sure you wait at least 10 days before you show up at SSA office
  8. That's great news! Now onto passport, SSA office and register to vote
  9. You should hear about the approval and oath ceremony soonish (most people get interview in about 2 odd weeks). Good luck and congrats on getting the n-400 done.
  10. I think it might help ( I didn't disagree with you) if you link to the pages where this is mentioned in the bill to dispel the notion of misinformation.
  11. Take a look at processing time for your FO, but as @OldUser said it is possible. You could get lucky, like some members have) and could potentially get an interview call in 2 months. Mine was 3 months after filing.
  12. Just a nitpick - it is misinformation and not miss information
  13. Someone I know has GE based on their B1/B2 visa (they use B2 visa)
  14. It isn't. Saw a reddit thread that said this isn't documented anywhere but I think they closed the pending app and were to see the button.
  15. I couldn't apply for GE before I became LPR. Rules changes later on and citizens from some countries (apart from the ones that already could as non-US citizens) could apply for GE even if they weren't LPR. Wonder if there is a way to get a new card by going to GE office and asking them to order one. edit: I know why I can't replace the card. I have a pending nexus app.

  17. Interesting that you have the option and I don't. I see Add Vehicle and Apply for APEC options.
  18. I don’t because the 4 years in the first term were a complete headache for me. I know about the increased ice budget.
  19. Very surprising that a document that says nationality: US and says passport card at the top doesn’t reflect the right action at DMV. I get that you may not see a passport card that often but if the card has nationality dmv shouldn’t make these mistakes.
  20. I may be the other extreme but I have the first I-20 i got from the school when I first came to US. It’s been so long that most professors that taught me have long retired. As you said only shred documents like bank statements, bills as they are no longer valid and every place will ask for latest documents and nothing from 10 years ago. Shredding CON? I was just absolutely awestruck with the stupidity there.
  21. it’s not just how much it costs in dollars but also how much would it cost in time. Heard a story few weeks ago where someone got their citizenship, got the passport, took care of other things and then they had a brilliant idea of shredding CON. They thought “why would I need this ever again”. of course that came back to bite them when they had to renew something else and had to apply for CON again. Time and money both wasted.
