VDH sticks in the knife and twists, ever so politely. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Fault, Dear Democrats, Is in Yourselves [...] After the Democratic train wreck, half the party is suddenly damning George Washington Joe for sticking around too long, even though party grandees cooked up the scheme in the first place of nominating the cognitively challenged Biden in 2020 to shut out his radical (and supposedly unelectable) primary rivals. Now that his successor Harris has bombed, in the leftist mind, Joe has gone from a Washingtonian Olympian to a veritable selfish Richard Nixon who clung to office far too long and supposedly ensured his party's defeat. Yet still, others now blame [...] https://amgreatness.com/2024/11/11/the-fault-dear-democrats-is-in-yourselves/

Prosecute the director & assistant, and fire the top 3 levels and anyone lower who supported them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FBI brass 'stunned' and 'shell-shocked' over Trump reelection The brass on the seventh floor at FBI headquarters in Washington have been in a daze and wary of a housecleaning since Donald Trump was reelected president on Tuesday, inside sources say. The Washington Times learned through several anonymous bureau sources that senior agency executives were "stunned" and "shell-shocked" by Mr. Trump's victory over Vice President Kamala Harris. "You know the fit test? How they let the standards slack on the fit test?" said the first FBI source, referring to the agency's physical fitness requirements. "Everyone's going to have a real problem when they're running for the door." [...] https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2024/nov/7/fbi-brass-stunned-shell-shocked-donald-trump-reele/

As well they should be, and double and triple. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Many in government are worried about Trump's return. At DOJ, they're terrified. A collective sense of dread has taken hold at the Department of Justice, which drew Donald Trump's rage like no other part of the federal government during his campaign. Some career attorneys at DOJ are already considering heading for the exits rather than sticking around to find out whether threats from Trump and his allies are real or campaign bluster. Those threats range from mass firings of "deep state" lawyers to expelling special counsel Jack Smith from the country. "Everyone I've talked to, mostly lawyers, are losing their minds," said one DOJ attorney, who like most of the people interviewed for this article was granted anonymity to speak freely about colleagues and avoid retribution from the president-elect and his allies. "The fear is that career leadership and career employees everywhere are either going to leave or they're going to be driven out." If so, LONG past time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Biggest Losers On Election Night Were The Obamas About a week before the final day of the election, The Wall Street Journal published an editorial titled, "A Harris Victory Means the Fourth Term of Obama." Although Kamala Harris failed her bid for the U.S. presidency spectacularly on Tuesday, the biggest losers of the 2024 election were the Obamas. No one has had more influence on the Democrat Party in the last decade than the Obamas. The Democrat Party used to be a place working-class Americans called home. It was sympathetic to kitchen-table issues such as how soaring crime and food and gas prices affected ordinary Americans' quality of life. But under President Obama's leadership [...] https://thefederalist.com/2024/11/11/the-biggest-losers-on-election-night-were-the-obamas/

This Election Shows Why The Electoral College Is A Genius Idea Every four years, various "experts" whine about the Electoral College, that seemingly bizarre feature of the Constitution whereby a handful of "electors" from each state get to choose the next president. This year proved why the Electoral College, which so many complain about but very few understand, was an incredible invention of our nation's founders. On election night, Chris Hayes, the insufferable MSNBC talking head, was one of the people spewing out the hackneyed complaint, saying "We have this very funky and terrible system called the Electoral College which decides elections in a way that is totally different than every other election in the United States, and the way that anything is decided anywhere else in the world. We should scrap it." The left has been trying mightily to undermine the Electoral College for decades. The latest gambit is [...] https://issuesinsights.com/2024/11/11/this-election-shows-why-the-electoral-college-is-a-genius-idea/

US MARINE CORPS CELEBRATING 249TH BIRTHDAY

HOW THE MILITARY SECURES A BUILDING The reason the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force bicker among themselves is that they don't speak the same language. For instance, take the simple phrase "secure the building." The Army will post guards around the place. The Navy will turn out the lights and lock the doors. The Marines will kill everybody inside and set up a headquarters. The Air Force will take out a 5-year lease with an option to purchase. -
Interesting innovation! Any boaters wish to comment? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New company reveals the future of boating — and its flagship product looks straight out of a sci-fi movie A Finland-based company called Foil. One has just introduced its first product reported Electrek: a hydrofoil. Hydrofoils are watercrafts that work by using an underwater fin to lift the vessel up above water. Foil. One's flagship hydrofoil, called the Pegasus, was created to provide a sustainable alternative to water travel. Instead of using boats that rely on gas and diesel, the hydrofoil is completely electric, per Electrek. The Pegasus is built with carbon fiber, which is used for Formula 1 cars, making it extremely lightweight yet sturdy [...] https://www.yahoo.com/tech/company-reveals-future-boating-flagship-103031331.html

VAWA, Part 27

Because of CRS (Can't Remember Stuff) Disease, we present our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke not on Sunday, but today, Monday, Veterans' Day, with appropriate acknowledgment of the occasion: =========================================== HOW THE MILITARY SECURES A BUILDING The reason the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force bicker among themselves is that they don't speak the same language. This VERY overlooked factor is crucial (I speak from disastrous personal experience), especially at a high-fraud consulate. The consulates cannot ignore or dismiss relationship evidence that USCIS has first seen, so make at least the second visit, collect voluminous evidence of a bona fide relationship, and include it in the I-129F petition filing. I also suggest that you be available on or around the consular premises during the eventual visa interview. Our Casablanca expert, JeanneAdil, should be along eventually. Meanwhile, read the write-ups about Casa via the dropdown tab "Office Reviews & Info" atop any VJ page.

Folks, everyone needs to tone down the arguing, please. Some participants here have actually performed the process as described. Whether someone copies the path or deviates from it, and encounters a bump in the road, then there are ways around it. Thanks. -

GOP lawmaker calls for UI to fire physician for 'repulsive' anti-Trump social media post A state lawmaker is calling for the University of Iowa to fire a physician who published an inflammatory social media post opposing President-elect Donald Trump after Tuesday's general election. UI Health Care medical fellow Mayank Sharma posted a response Wednesday to a post from a pro-Trump account stating: "Well I hope you lose your kid in a school shooting. Already you have nothing to lose, it won't matter to you anyways! Prepare for your kids funeral." The post prompted Iowa House Education Appropriations Subcommittee Chair Carter Nordman to [...] https://www.press-citizen.com/story/news/politics/2024/11/08/gop-lawmaker-calls-for-firing-university-of-iowa-medical-fellow-inflammatory-anti-trump-post/76115745007/

Don't know if this was Bidementia, Kommie, the deep state, or whatever/whomever. It still reeks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FEMA says employee fired for telling aid workers to avoid homes with Trump signs An employee with the Federal Emergency Management Agency instructed a disaster relief team to avoid houses displaying signs supporting President-elect Donald Trump's campaign, the agency's administrator said Saturday. The employee, who was not named, was fired from her position, Administrator Deanne Criswell said in a post to social media on Saturday, calling it a violation of FEMA principles, which say workers should help people no matter their political affiliation.
