Green card approved! They are really dedicated to getting fingerprints - the approval came with a notice that we may be required to do biometrics again.

I've been sitting around, jealous of @Carlos.Brazil and their I-485, and shockingly discovered that we were scheduled for interview today. Now I'm going to be furiously pressing refresh on myuscis until the document appears with the interview date. I can't believe we didn't get an RFE.

I-485 was approved today!

Hi, everyone! 
 
This morning I got a message from USCIS saying there has been action on my case, but when I checked everything was the same as before. I kept checking obsessively and 6 hours after I received that e-mail my i-485 status changed to approved!! 🎉
 
I'm so happy and relieved. My status has been the same since my biometrics appointment in May. I hope everyone that is still waiting gets to experience the relief I felt today very soon!!

284 days later.. hopefully it’s AP! Thank God!

Status changed this morning saying Our EAD/AP combo card is being produced! yay!

Good news !
My Uscis account has been updated today to "card being produced" so my EAD is approved. 7 months to the day since application received by USCIS.
No idea whether this is due to my expedite request or not - absolutely nothing to indicate either way.
Does not say whether its a comb card or not. Though its referred to as "standalone" in the docs section of my account, so I am guessing not.
 
 

Update!

Son's EAD was approved and a week later we received the card.  It is valid 09/20.  The bad news is his name is flipped so we put in a request to have it corrected.  Wife is still waiting on her EAD/greencard/AP (one of those 3 to change status).  We might see about trying to expedite as others did.  Would not hurt at least. 
I am not expecting to see anything on the green card movement until closer to January or February.  Best wishes to all though!

Wife's EAD and AP were approved on 28 OCT.  We put in an expedite request for EAD due to the fact that we brought her elderly father over on U4U and used the fact that she wanted to contribute to supporting him.  Also, we did not plan on full time supporting him when we submitted the paperwork.  They got back to us 2 weeks later with the approval.
The only approval pending now is the I-485.  Good luck to everyone!

I just got email this morning from USCIS, so I emailed them back with my doctor’s letter. 
email did not included any instruction, I had to call my friend for advise who have been through the process. 

A female friend of mine who applied for her fiancé a K1 visa. After his arrival and getting married to him, she applied for his work permit and AOS. He has been abusive toward her, now she is pregnant as well. He has threaten her that she will face consequences for disobeying him. She is afraid that he will leave her once he get his green card and US citizenship. Even though he is doing all this she does not want him to go back or leave her. 
she is asking what can she do to hold his green card? But not stop him from getting work permit.

We sent our RFE on August 2nd and today we received an update saying they have received it and are reviewing it? Very weird but my husband's EAD card is being produced so that's good 😊

AOS for K1 visa, Buffalo center. No expedite requested, interview waived.

Update today we just got notice our AOS card is being produced. No expedite, no interview. Just card is being produced. I heard that some AOS marriages were being waved of the interview, but I didn't expect it! Hope to get it in hand in a few weeks!

Sometime you could find a attorney through Churches. Reach out to a Church community near by you to seek help with attoney.

We expedited through Emma chat. During hours when agents are available, you type "live chat," then it give you a list of options. Select "Case Status," then you'll get in a queue to talk to an agent. They will ask what you want, say expedite your EAD, then they will ask you reason which has to be from a list. The most common is "severe financial loss". Then you plead your case and hope it's approved! Some people get immediate approval, some immediate denial, some get asked for evidence and some none. Unfortunately no way to know, but you can put in multiple requests if one gets denied!
 
 
We never even were told that ours was approved, just an e-mail saying they received the request and then they approved the EAD the next day.

There isn't a link to request expedite. Contact USCIS either via calling or chatting a live agent on Emma to request the expedite. Tell them your reason for requesting it and the customer service agent will give you a confirmation number and forward your request to USCIS. If USCIS requires evidence to support your request they will contact you. It's up to USCIS to approve the request, it's not guaranteed. We submitted a request 3 times before the expedite was finally approved.
