I hope you have a faster processing time than we did 🤞🍀 Fortunately for us, we didn't need the transcripts for anything other than our personal records.
By the way, your IRS Tax Return transcript will not be updated even after the amendment has been processed. Only your Tax Account transcript and Record of Account transcript will show the amendment.
From https://www.irs.gov/individuals/transcript-types-and-ways-to-order-them --
"Tax Return Transcript - shows most line items from your original Form 1040-series tax return as filed, along with any forms and schedules. It doesn't show changes made after you filed your original return."
Thanks. One of the problem is it's not allowing me to download the transcript. I thought the error was causing that.

You're welcome. By the way, as of today, more than a month after we got our additional refund check from our 2020 amendment, IRS still says "N/A" when I try to download my account transcript...
Gone from mini heart attack straight to life support, lol. I really hope this doesn't happen to me because I really need the transcript.

Here's my tax amendment timeline from 2022 --
Thanks Chancy. I think I had a mini heart attack after seeing "Completed" 244 days after "Received" date, lol. Sigh

Good day, my new Tax preparer made a major error on my 2021 tax filing. This was amended & submitted to IRS Dec. 29, 2022. Has anyone recently did an amendment & how long did it take for IRS to accept? I need an IRS Tax Return Transcript (specifically) urgently & don't know what to do. Sigh

Hey guys, just wanted to know if anyone has had any DQs?
I see that the NVC is looking at cases submitted from the 21st December. My husband and I submitted ours on the 25th of December (after an rfe ) and are hoping to have a notification within the next two weeks. Is this too optimistic?
I think you will get the notification by this week-end based on the most recent trend.

@GBEDU we submitted November 9, so we are looking into next week or the week after
Your timeline has November 19 for IV package submission, therefore your submitted date would be November 19 if your timeline is correct.

I had sent official IRS transcripts for the recent year but they also wanted my W2 for the recent years. I thought if official IRS transcripts are uplaoded, then that should be golden.
Did you file joint tax return? If yes, then that's why the W2 is required.

Submitted September 19th. Got a response today. Case FE note (I'm guessing this is the same as an RFE) asking for my W2s, which I don't have because I never worked in the US before. We have a joint sponsor so it's their income we are using. I sat on hold with them for over 2 hours before getting through to someone that explained that I had to write an explanation why I didn't have W2s and submit it. She confirmed we would have to go to the back of the line. So I guess I'll go join the December thread... I miss my wife... Good luck to the rest of you all.
Sorry that you got a RFE instead of DQ. Did you submit an IRS tax transcript? If yes, was it a joint filing? Just trying to figure out when a W2 is required.

Good day all,
Has anyone in F2B category who got DQ in 2020 received an interview date for Kingston, Jamaica?
Any idea if the Embassy is even open?
I don't know about the DQ, however the embassy is operating at limited capacity.

My husband has been DQ since December 2020. Still has not received an interview appointment. Does anyone know the latest DQ date in 2020 that received an appointment at Kingston Embassy?
I saw someone who DQ October 16, 2020 got their interview for Dec. 6, 2021. They were notified in Nov. 2021.

how to know if your dq?
After paying the IV & AOS fees, then submitting the DS260, financial docs, I-864 or I-864EZ & relevant civil docs. If reviewed & accepted by NVC, then you will receive an email or see a note in CEAC that your application is documentary completed.
-
@Mogo76 , did you submit the Tax Return Transcript or tax return? Also did you submit I-864 or I-864EZ? I am just trying to figure out if they request the W2 regardless of what you submit.

If I was OP, I would go the route of US citizen child filing one IR5 I-130, then when that parent is in the US, they file one I-130 as an LPR for the remaining parent and add the minor kids as derivatives. At least they would save some money on filing more I-130s and one parent would be with the younger children and the other parent with the older child, until they are all reunited.

@amb1, are you able to download the 2020 IRS Tax Transcript?

I called the JM embassy just now. Got a prompt response. No IVR. I was advised that they are clearing up the backlog in Jamaica and once that is done, the NVC will send the cases they have there waiting. Based on her conversation, It would seem they've been working the cases and increasing the number of cases they interact with. I can't speak to any category but the individual mentioned that they are working on all IV cases and that they are almost through clearing the JM backlog. That is sorta good news but still such a long way to go. I'm really trying my best to be patient but it has been eight years. My goodness. I don't know about anyone else, but this process has affected my mental health a great deal and I am just ready for the silver lining.
Lord knows that NVC backlog is going to be another hurdle but I would still prefer to hear that they have moved on to it. Sigh tears
Thanks for the update and continue to keep the faith. I am not yet DQ, however I try to follow and support Jamaica related posts/threads.

My parents documentarily qualified in December 2020, and they received their interview appointment in June 2021.
Please clarify, do yo mean they received their interview for June 2021, after all we are still in May 2021. Also when did they receive their letter?

Good morning. I got this screenshot from the group on Facebook. It shows the number of visas issued by each embassy per class each month and I found it rather interesting and decided to share it with you all. See the link below.
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.htmlPlease note that there are two types of chart. The one that is applicable to persons who did there interview in Jamaica is the chart that has by Post. See image below for Kingston.

The Embassy should be on about mid July DQs. They had completed June and moved on to July when they began cancelling appointments again. My husband was DQ'd June 17th and is now in the US. I sure hope they begin ramping up again soon because we have to learn to live with COVID since it apparently isn't going anywhere, at least not soon.
I believe they may have regressed due to categories that were not able to have their interview due to the family ban. After the ban was lifted more than likely they would return to conducting interview in a chronological DQ order.

Congratulations to you and hubby!
It is really disheartening to hear that backlogs are beyond 6-12 months. Its sad, very sad.
The Detective doing the letter said I should check back next Monday or Tuesday. So I am leaving all else in the mighty hands of God. I was hoping for this Friday though, but every disappointment is for good. So since I have been waiting all these months, another week is just fine.
Praying for continued strength & protection for you and baby girl. I hope and pray that both of you are reunited soon.

Just an update from US Embassy consular conversations. They said they have backlogs ranging in the thousands and they are currently only scheduling interviews in the single digits (less than 10 interviews per day). The cases where interviews were cancelled because of the pandemic are in the hundreds so they are working through those first. They stated that if you just dq this year, you're looking at a 6-12 month wait since there are thousands of people before you.
Thanks for updating us. Although it's not the greatest news, at least we have an idea of what's currently happening.

Thanks Akilah. I am a Christian, and at first I wanted to blame God, I really wanted to blame him so much, cause I prayed for my kids safety all the time and I said that this shouldn't have happened under God's watch, but I know what my bible says and God did not exempt us from hard times and trouble. So I repented and I have been carrying the guilt and the blame every day since it happened. But I need to be strong for my kids, and you all are right, I need to be strong for them.
Stay strong and continue praying. I believe that you have a very strong case for expedite, your daughter's physical & emotional safety is at risk as well as your emotional wellbeing. Please also consider professional counselling for yourself and your daughter. All the best
