Yes they don’t see the bigger picture. It’s more than issuing curfews and stopping funerals.
The embassy should recognize the increase in expedited cases and put a stop to that. It’s backlogging others who have been waiting for a long time. I would hate to be going through this process right about now. They could also try to schedule a few regular appointments. Plus persons that were banned last year has rejoined the line this Feb. when that ban was revoked.

They are still on September DQ. So the best advice I can give as a sept_dQ is expedite
I am not yet DQ, I just love seeing the movement of persons ahead of me. I really hope some of these hardheaded persons who are not been cautious/serious about Covid would really start. The Covid cases in Jamaica needs to go down, this is impacting so many lives negatively in various ways. Sigh

Has anyone gotten an interview date recently (without expedite)? Just trying to figure out if there is any movement or which month DQ is been processed.

Yes, it was sent to the NVC after 3 days and got the welcome email very next day
Hi, was the welcome letter sent to the Petitioner, Beneficiary or both? I haven't received the welcome later as yet. What's the email subject or sender? I want to use it to do a search of my email since I receive a lot of emails daily.

DO NOT LISTEN TO A SINGLE THING THAT PINKRLION HAS POSTED.
You mark no since derivatives are not allowed when a USC petitions for a parent.
You do not indicate on your DS-260 that you plan to bring your children to the US at a later date because derivatives are not allowed.
You can't use the I-824 to do follow to join since derivatives are not allowed.
The NVC or travel.state.gov will not tell you what you need to do to bring your children to the US after you immigrate. It's not their job to be your lawyer and advise you what to do. After you immigrate, you can file separate I-130 for your unmarried children.
Thanks a million.

Bottom LIne: NVC or travel.state.gov will tell you what you need to do to bring your children to US after you immigrate. I suggested emailing them and they will tell you the direct steps to take. You still have to indicate that you plan on bringing your children on DS-260 at a later date.
Regardless of SuzieQ stated you still need to find out what you need to do. Since you are a Consulate issued visa, it is suggested that you talk to NVC to get the correct information.
Thanks for your input.

File for your children not derivative
?

My mind is now in a tailspin, I wish some other senior member would chime in ☹️. I'm 98% with @SusieQQQ on this, since immediate relative does not have derivative benefit. For immediate relative each family member has to have their own petition. I will explain at the interview that I will be petitioning the kids after I'm permitted in the US.

No she can’t. It’s an IR5 visa, no derivatives on IR visas.
Thanks. I am very grateful for VJ because there are somethings on some of these forms that a simple misunderstanding in your response can cause delays or even rejection of your case. I can't wait of all of this to be over.

YES - You can file I-824 Follow to Join instead of I-130.
Thanks, however after reading about the I-824 it doesn't seem to apply to the immediate relative petition.

And I paid the fee on March 2nd and got processed today. Now I have to upload documents.
Great. At least one aspect of this process is moving fast.

Thanks. Have you gotten anything from NVC yet?

My USC child filed the I-130 for only me. The plan is when I land in the USA, I will file I-130 for my minor children, as the wait time would have been too long if done by their USC sibling. My confusion is the question in the screenshot below for when I'm doing my DS-260. I'm not sure if the answer is YES, since I plan on filing when I'm LPR; or NO, since they are not related to this IR5 case. Please help.

Ok. Please update us if anything changes. I am no where near where most of you are, however I like to see things moving so I can have an idea where I stand when I'm at the next phase.

Has anyone heard anything about Family based categories? It's so discouraging. Husband interview got cancelled March 2020 and still nothing!
Have you gotten any update since the Presidential Proclamation 10014 (family travel ban) was revoked on Feb. 24, 2021?

My last inquiries said that I have to wait for 60 days.... 114 days in nothing.
Hello, have you gotten any update?
Interview timeline after Documentarily Qualified (DQ)
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

When did you DQ? I would write and ask for an expedite based on wanting to spend time with my husband for physical & emotional support prior to deployment. Better yet, I believe if the letter was from your husband it would carry more weight. You never know what can happen unless you try.
