I-485 Update Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for Interview - August 24, 2021

My husband received his biometrics notice yesterday, and the appointment is scheduled for 8/9/21!! 🙏

We received our receipt numbers via text this morning!! 🙏🖖

I got the NOA1's for AOS, EAD and AP today! 😀
 
We sent in the applications via UPS on 6/17, they were delivered on 6/21 and the notice date in the NOA1's are 6/24.

Sending positive thoughts to everyone going through this process.  It’s not easy, but I’m thankful for this group as you all make this load I carry much lighter.

@Socal and Meknes I agree! Thanks to @pooj97, she found a June 2021 AOS Whatsapp group too and it has been very helpful! It's nice to know that so many people are experiencing the same difficulties and anxieties throughout this process.

@stuckonyou Ours arrived on Monday, 6/21 too, so hopefully our checks will be cashed soon!! Eek.

You must’ve crossed your toes too because we received all three text messages with receipt numbers today at 5:30pm PST.  Woohoo!  Our money orders have not been cashed but it’s ok. Our packets were received. 

Congratulations on receiving your NOA. You’re right, it is something. Thanks for “fingers crossed.” I think I might need toes too because I haven’t heard anything yet. 😁

Our package was also delivered to the Chicago Lockbox on June 1st; silence here too 😞

@Socal and Meknes Hopefully, you'll receive a notification soon! It seems like that the applications that were received in mid-June are being processed faster. 🙏

Not sure what is going on here, but it is my hope that we will receive some news soon.

Thank you. After some research to ease my concerns, I too gathered the same information. However, how do we prove that we filed AOS without NOA1?

6/14 - AOS application sent to Chicago lockbox via USPS
6/16 - Application received
6/22 - Check cashed! 
 
No NOA text messages yet, but we are hopeful! 

I thought about that as well; however, even with tracking, it doesn’t specify what was submitted only location and zip. And in an ideal world, someone questioning would call but I doubt it.  We live in different times now, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they do question nowadays.

Hey everyone. I sent my AOS packet on June 7 and reached the lockbox on June 9. Yesterday (June 20) i got a text that my case was received with the receipt #.

Hi all, i'm a U.S. citizen, and USCIS Chicago Lockbox received my husband's Green Card/AOS package on June 2nd. Now we're just waiting to receive the I-797/NOA1. The waiting game begins! 

That’s really great news. Although my intention was to visit him in Morocco in March, I fear going. We both agreed it’s best not to fly. We have been able to see each other 3 times, and since July 2019, we have well documented conversations. Our visa all is still at the nvc. Our NOA2 was received April 02, 2020. I hope our file will be transferred soon. It’s been a long time.
