  1. Family Registration Certificate is required from both the petitioner and applicant? or just the applicant?
  2. This isn't applicable for immigrant visa categories.
  3. Incorrect. Attached below is the processing times for NVC after you have submitted all your documents to them. Takes roughly 2 weeks after document submission for them to review your file and DQ you (if appropriate). NVC has drastically improved its efficiency in managing the caseload. When we were DQd it took us 3 months to get DQd and an additional 6 weeks for USCIS tp transfer our case to NVC. Things have become alot faster at NVC stage now for you guys. So thats a relief. However, as someone above mentioned, the real painstakingly long wait starts AFTER DQ.
  4. I believe they will be rolling out new ILs today or on Tuesday. Monday is off for the US embassy due to 14th August I believe and today is the last working day so new ILs are expected to be out today or sometime in the next week.
  5. Did she go to a government hospital or private hospital to get those drops and certificate?
  6. Hi Podeena, I've a question regarding polio vaccine. Did your wife take that certificate with her on the day of medical or was she administrered that vaccine on the spot? Asking because my partner does not have a polio vaccine certificate as she was administered polio drops when she was very young and has no documentation to proof it. So in her case, will she be required to present a certificate to the medical examiner or will the medical officer administer her polio vaccine again on the day of the medical exam?
  7. Police certificate is not required from Pakistani Applicants. It clearly states that on the NVC website. Submitting or presenting uncalled for documents at the consulate will only result in added scrutiny and process delays.
  8. Why would you take police certificate since its not required from Pakistani applicants?
  9. Congrats! Happy for you. Kindly keep us updated regarding your interview experience. Best of luck.
  10. Where did you get the polio certificate made from?
  11. For parents its IR5. But the wait times are similar for both IR1 and IR5 in Pakistan.
  12. It's a two year wait from DQ to interview at ISB consulate for IR1 cases.
  13. If you have a residency permit in UAE only then you can change consulate. Otherwise you can't.
  14. With their turtle speed, anywhere from 12 months to 16 months.
  15. There are people who got DQd in May 2021 who are still waiting for their interview. You have a long wait ahead of you like rest of us here.
  16. We applied in June 2019. Case got approved from USCIS in January 2022. We got DQd in May 2022. Our timeline is painstakingly long.
  17. Lol we applied in June 2019 and still no interview in sight for us.
  18. Receiving NOA2 does not imply that your case gets forwarded the same day to NVC. This process of mere transfer itself can take weeks. Going by your NOA2 date, you should be receiving an email from NVC soon.
