  1. Still waiting. They covered till May 24. Ours was May 25. Short of one day 😞
  2. You may expect your spouse's interview around Sept/Oct 2024.
  3. If your category is IR1 then you may expect to receive the IL around 7 to 8 months from now. ISL embassy has covered April 2022 DQs last month. So theres that.
  4. Thats normal and nothing to worry about. After a week or so it would change to Issued but till then the status would remain in AP (Administrative Processing). Congrats on the approval of your spouse's visa btw.
  5. Still waiting for the interview letter. Search PAKUSA Immigration channel on Youtube or Instagram. They update the timelines each month and they are pretty accurate. Thats the source of our info regarding interview letters.
  6. You can expect your wife's interview letter by April/May 2024.
  7. Hopefully next month inshALLAH. Thank you.
  8. What you received in the email is the interview letter. Just print that out. Nothing would be received in the mail.
  9. See the video attached above. Provides details of this process.
  10. To make the long-distance easier, make sure you visit your spouse each year for whatever duration possible, could be a month or even 3 weeks. Doesnt really matter as long as you visit them each year and spend quality time with them. Secondly, communication is key. Communicate every single day with your spouse either through facetime or voice calls. In long-distance, its easier to miscommunicate which can result in arguments and what not. Make sure you and your spouse put your ego aside and never go to sleep without sorting out the miscommunication otherwise it will cause drift in the relationship since you're not physically together. This is key to ensuring emotional stability in a relationship. Last but not least, being spiritual really helps with the mental aspect of immigration process. Keeping faith in God that everything will work out perfectly in the end and that God is the best of planners really helps with easing anxiety/stress associated with this process. Also as a couple you guys should keep yourself busy with work, hobbies etc so that time passes quicker. Best of luck for your immigration journey.
  11. First of all I am extremely sorry to hear that you had to go through all this. If your wife does not show up to the interview, her case would be sent back to the NVC and then to the USCIS i believe and will be considered as closed after a while. If you choose to marry again in Pakistan, you would have to go through the same process again and would not be given any concessions or expedites unless there's a genuine reason like medical issues faced by you etc. Your current story would not help you in expediting your future immigration case. Lastly, all of us here have been waiting for a long time to be reunited with our respective spouses. I personally have been waiting since June 2019. More than 4 years now soon to be 5. Still no interview in sight for us. It's been incredibly difficult, emotionally, physically and mentally for me and my partner. However, we persevered and decided to wait patiently and leave matters in the hand of ALLAH. Long distance relationship is hard and is definitely not for the faint-hearted individuals. It truly tests the couple's commitment and faith towards the relationship. The fact that your spouse and her family chose to end the marriage solely on the basis of long wait times seems selfish and greedy. Remember we want to be with our spouses for long term companionship and not for immigration benefits. Sounds like they decided to end the marriage because their daughter could not quickly get her immigration. Again very selfish. I hope you find a better partner in the future who truly cares for you and would want to wait to be reunited with you no matter what the circumstances are. Sending positive vibes your way.
  12. Did your previous marriage take place in Pakistan and is it registered with NADRA? If not, then you do not need divorce certificate from Pakistan. US divorce certificate is all you need.
  13. So relatable. Ameen inshALLAH and thank you for the kind words. Appreciate it.
  14. Thank you! Couple of more months I guess. Been waiting since 2019 for this journey to come to an end. It's been a long and painful one not gonna lie.
  15. I believe they will issue new ILs at the start of November. By the way, we atleast know how many IR1 cases are pending for interview at ISL embassy before our case. For context, we were DQd in May 2022. so 1,363 cases are pending interview before our turn comes. We got this info from the NVC attorney himself since my spouse filed a WOM.
  16. Do they also administer the polio vaccine during the medical or we should get it done before the medical?
  17. Did your spouse complete the medical? If so, does the hospital send the reports to the embassy directly or hand over the envelope to the spouse to take to the interview? Also 54k is quite some amount lol. Thanks to the inflation.
  18. Process cannot be sped up as others have mentioned. Taking around 17 years currently for Pakistanis.
  19. Hi, can you kindly share the complete document list that is required for the interview with me in the DMs? I need to prepare those documents in advance like FRC etc.
  20. Can anyone please chime in and guide me through the following scenario: If a sibling of the IR1 beneficiary overstays their US Visit Visa and/or crosses border and goes to canada to seek asylum there, will this decision/process cause any issue for the beneficiary of IR1 who is waiting for their spousal visa while all this happens? Looking forward to your expertise on this matter as well: @Crazy Cat
