Hi. I just got a similar RFE. Curious what you end up doing. Did it end up well?Do you mind sharing?

I ended up submitting the supplement J. I used current job information for the job offer part. Some fields were left blank. However, it accompanied a cover letter, stating it is not needed for my application. All went well.

This was the guidance I got when I called level 2 agents.

    Hope this helps! Good luck

  2. Hi all,

A friend of mine received his VISA stamping after consular processing last March 2019. However, due to pandemic travels were restricted and they could not come here before the VISA expired. Now the embassy is open. They are trying to contact the consulate division and no response. They contacted the NVC and they passed the ball to the embassy. They have been trying to reach out to the consular division for the last 6 months. No response. Has anyone faced this situation? What was your next step? Any help is highly appreciated.

    Consulate - Colombo Sri Lanka

    Thank you!

Had some updates recently regarding my EAD & AP so thought I'd share in case it helps anyone

    1/5/21 Biometrics appointment

1/19/21 Received job offer so submitted expedite request based on financial loss through the Emma online chat on USCIS.com

1/27/21 Received email from USCIS requesting evidence

1/28/21 Faxed evidence to USCIS. Included:

    • Cover letter quickly summarizing my situation and listing out the evidence I was providing
    • Print out of the email USCIS sent me
    • New Job offer letter
    • Letter from July confirming my previous company was closing due to covid (This company also sponsored my visa so I've been unauthorized to work since)
    • Savings statement showing withdrawals over the past 6 months to cover living costs
    • Summary of medical insurance payments for the past 6 months (which would normally be covered by employer)

2/2/21 i-765 Status changed to Request For Additional Information Received

2/2/21 i-765 (EAD) Status changed to New Card Is Being Produced

2/3/21 i-765 (EAD) and i-131 (AP) Statuses changed to Case Was Approved

So grateful to finally see some movement after being unable to work since July, wishing everyone else luck.

    Questions:

    1) Has anyone else seen their EAD/AP status change from New Card Being Produced to Case was Approved? I would have though it would have been the be the other way around?

    2) For anyone that has been lucky enough to receive their combo card already, how long did you have to wait after "case was approved" to actually receive your card?

    Congratz on your progress!

Once the case approved this is the sequence of status updates you will see

    1. New card is being Produced

    2. Case was approved

    3. Card was mailed to me

    4. Card was picked up by the united states postal service

    5. Card was delivered to me by the post office

Normally, case should go through these status changes every consecutive day, expect for 4th and 5th steps. You should get your card within a week. Good luck with your new job!

Just found out that the I-131 form now qualifies for a "Case outside normal processing times" inquiry so I submitted an inquiry and hopefully this does something for the EAD as well. At this point I am hoping for the combo card or the green card. I am still patient and keeping positive and hope things will move a bit quicker with the new Administration.

I hope it will work for your.

Since my receipt date is June 19th. I couldn’t do it today. Have to do tomorrow. Hope it will trigger something :)

No updates on EAD or AP yet but AoS changed to "Ready to schedule an interview". I guess it's a generic message. How about yours ?

    Thank You.

    thank you

No updates on EAD/AP. The case was transferred to FO last November, after that radio silence. I am just raising SR and waiting for an update.

Mine is not in the "Ready to schedule an interview" stage....so I am guessing it's going to be a long journey for me

    Quick Update Guys;

    I had my interview today.

It went well and we were called in together and the gentleman asked my wife how we met and our address.

Then he asked me when i came to the country and if i work and then the Yes/No questions.

He handed us the Recommended for Approval Letter and after a couple of hours my status changed to "New Card Is Been Produced"

We are so happy after 8 months we are finally get the 2 yr conditional residence (Until 1 yr and 9 months from now :).

Good luck to you guys and who ever is waiting that day will come until then enjoy life with your loved ones and have fun as much as you can.

its sucks but what can you do. keep up the faith.

    Cheers.

    Great! Congratz

For anyone who's service center is the NBC, have you received your EAD/AP yet?  My PD is June 18 and had my bios done on Aug 20th.  I'm still waiting for any word about some forward progression with my case.

My RD is June 19th. Still waiting for EAD/AP. However my I485 is transferred to local FO in Mid Nov. EAD/AP still processing at NBC. Bio done on Aug 5th.

I read that others had done the same .. so I did too. Figured it can only increase chance of approval.

I expedited by talking to L1 rep

So your status never got update to say if either your or congressman requests were approved or denied right?
Who is L1 officer? Same as T1?

Also, can you please let me know what evidence you provided to expedite AP. Thanks!
