  1. Good news - our package has actually been delivered to USCIS. Several days after I posted there were pending charges on the credit card by USCIS for the correct amounts. A week or so later we have received NOA-1 letters with receipt numbers.

Huge relief for us. Yet it took them over 2 months just to send the NOA-1!

  2. Hello!
We have sent a packet with AOS applications (I-485, I-131, I-765) for my wife and daughters via USPS. According to the tracking number last known status:
      December 31, 2020
      In Transit, Arriving Late
Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility.
    One before that:
      December 27, 2020, 11:44 pm
Arrived at USPS Regional Destination Facility
      CHICAGO IL DISTRIBUTION CENTER

After an inquiry with USPS they said "it is possible for the item to have been delivered without a scan". I have called USCIS several times asking whether they have received a packet and was told "no", last time today. They are asking to wait for 90 days since the date of supposed delivery because of their backlog.
We don’t know whether the package was delivered to the USCIS or was lost by USPS. And we won’t potentially know for more than a month.

What should we do now? If we just wait and then figure out the package was truly lost, we are just wasting time now - my wife cannot work (she really wants to start working!), cannot travel outside of the U.S.

Can we assemble and send another AOS package to USCIS? If we do and in case when the first package actually made it through to the USCIS, what will happen if there will be a second set of applications?
USCIS customer service representative also said if the payments from both of the packets will go through, it would be almost impossible to reverse the payment. I wonder if there are other issues with potentially having duplicate applications.
    Please advise!

Use (C)(9)( ) for all of them.

    @Ayrton Thanks!

    According to https://www.uscis.gov/forms/all-forms/filing-form-i-765-with-other-forms

(c)(9) is for Pending adjustment applicants

(c)(9)(P) is for Pending adjustment applicants requesting a combo card

Since you said "they will have combo cards" why are you saying (c)(9)( ) and not (c)(9)(P)? Or it does not matter?

Submitting I-765s for the children will allow them to get Social Security numbers.....

@Lucky Cat What Eligibility Category should the children's forms have? (c)(9)(P) just as in my wife's form or just (c)(9)( )?

I am still trying to get my head wrapped around the idea of an Employment Authorization for kids (even though I understand the benefit of having an SSN). They can't possibly have a combo card saying they are authorized to be employed, or can they?

what was the reason for the rejection ?  your total fee is correct.  but i think you can only combine the fee for immigrant visa  not for adjustment of status applications.

@igoyougoduke Exact reason stated: "The payment amount is incorrect, or has not been provided". Same reason for all the forms and all persons in our packet.

Since your package was rejected, take advantage of it and send 765 forms for the kids too. That's the only way they can get SSNs before the green card (tax season is coming).

@Ayrton I-765 is "Application for Employment Authorization" form. Are you sure 8 and 10 year old children are eligible to file this form?

  7. @Chancy Thank you for your response! I am pretty sure I saw people posting they sent a single check for the whole family and everything worked so we did the same.

We will definitely include 3 G-1450 forms this time, one for every person:

    For my wife: $1,225

    For first child: $750

    For second child: $750

Would you please confirm these are the correct amounts?

    Thanks again!

  8. We have sent a packet for Adjustment of Status for my wife and her daughters with the following forms:
    For my wife:

    • I-485 Adjustment of Status ($1,140 form fee + $85 biometric fee = $1,225)
    • I-765 Employment Authorization ($0 fee as it was filed together with I-485)
    • I-131 Travel Document ($0 fee as it was filed together with I-485)

    For 10 year old daughter:

    • I-485 Adjustment of Status ($750 form fee as filing with a parent)
    • I-131 Travel Document ($0 fee as it was filed together with I-485)

    For 8 year old daughter:

    • I-485 Adjustment of Status ($750 form fee as filing with a parent)
    • I-131 Travel Document ($0 fee as it was filed together with I-485)

Included one form G-1450 with authorized payment for $2,725 ($1,225 for wife + $750 * 2 for children).
According to our calculations $2,725 is the correct amount. Yet all of the forms have been rejected with "The payment amount is incorrect, or has not been provided" reason.

Does anyone have an explanation why the whole packet got rejected?

Did anyone have the k1 interview already or scheduled at end of this month? We have "ready" on our DS-160 since February, but still waiting..

My fiancée had her K1 interview in Kyiv just a few days ago. Her original interview was scheduled in March but got cancelled due to embassy shutdown.

Embassies have suspended most visas services. This is because of the pandemic.

US embassy in Croatia has announced they will start issuing visitors visas B1/B2 but not K1s. Clearly pandemic is not the issue. Something else is.
