When they asked for your birth certificates, did you give them copies or the originals, and did they keep them?
I feel like I have everything ready for my interview on Friday (May 7th), but the only thing I am missing is copies of our Birth Certificates.
They took our birth certificates and compared to what was filed and checked them off. We did not need to supply copies or the originals. They didn't keep anything that was original.
I took photocopies of everything as well though, so in the event they wanted to keep something (such as the deed to the new house) they could. I suggest you take photocopies just in case.

As an update for everyone, I had my AOS interview at the Chicago field office. To summarize it: nothing to worry about.
We showed up 20 minutes before but were only allowed in 15 minutes before so we waited a bit. Went up to floor 2, showed our interview notice and were seated. We waited about 30 minutes before being called. Once in the interviewers office it was smooth sailing. He asked us for our marriage license, birth certificates, passports, drivers license and the deed to our new house for the change of address. The questions he asked were basic: Where did you meet? When did you get engaged? When did you first start dating?
He must have only asked us maybe 5-6 questions, felt more like a conversation than anything.
Interview took about 20 minutes and we were on our way. No approval on the spot however I am confident it will be approved.

Hi all,
Our green card interview is scheduled for April 28. My wife and I recently purchased a home and today I submitted the change of address AR-11 form. My concern is that the change of address won't register before we are approved/ the card is produced and they mail the green card to the wrong address.
Should I be concerned?
Is there any way to avoid this issue?
Can I tell the interviewing agent about the change of address to make sure it gets mailed to the proper one?
Thank you.

Congrats! I used Emma this morning and an agent (miraculously) gave me the date.
What is your interview date? I am curious how far in advance they scheduled it.
Nice to see things moving along for Sep filers!

Today my 485 case status changed to "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken". All other 3 remain in "Case Was Received".
This happened to me too but it ended up applying my fingerprints to all forms.

I used turbo tax to file my taxes in the US and I am on a TN visa (non immigrant work visa). I am an accountant. No issues with turbo tax, if you are a US resident for tax purposes the program will work fine. As an LPR it would be fine for you too, my wife and I will file jointly using it for 2020 taxes.

I am not from Austin, but I’ve read about some people just walking in with their biometric notice after they missed their appointments. May be worth a shot?

Yes. It's taking a while, there is a backlog.

Has anyone got biometrics yet? What is the timing normally to get this?

Got my NOAs today, 5 days after my checks were cashed. My priority date is September 25, 2020.
1. 9/25/2020 - Application sent to USCIS Chicago lockbox
2. 9/26/2020 - Delivered
3. 10/26/2020 - Checks cashed
4. 10/27/2020 - Received texts with receipts
5. 10/30/2020 - Received 4 NOA's. Priority date is September 25, 2020.
One odd thing, when I go to check on my case status the receipt doesn't work and it says its invalid. I assume this is just the system not being updated? Anyone else have this issue?

Our checks have not been cashed either, similar timeline:
1. 9/25/2020 - Application sent to USCIS Chicago lockbox
2. 9/26/2020 - Delivered
3. 10/26/2020 - Checks cashed
Great news, they cashed our check!! It took 30 days for them to do it but finally the checks are cashed.

Did everyone file the I-944 too? I am starting to get a bit concerned that my check has not yet been cashed. Next week will be one month, trying to be patient.
You guys who have had your money taken are lucky! At least some stress is over :).

Both are required, a credit report and a credit score.
-
I downloaded it online, there is a way to get a free credit report annually, I think the website is AnnualCreditReport.com or something. Google free annual credit report and you'll get the option, you just need your SSN and a bit of other information I believe.
Required for I-944 yes.

I used my FICO score from my credit card company, there was an option on the website to retrieve my FICO credit score. I was also able to access my credit scores from Credit Karma, but I went with FICO over these.

Last update from me for a while! My green card arrived in the mail today... what a relief. Done with immigration for a while, took about 7 months to get my green card which wasn’t too bad, I thought a year at least! Best of luck all.
