Thanks, I thought we did or said something wrong. So I was stressed we didn't get the approval on spot.

I understand, I felt the same! I even panicked because my case was not updating on the portal at all (I figured it's the weekend because we interviewed on a Friday, I was expecting something Monday but the update did not show until Tuesday). But don't worry, all the heavy lifting is done and before you know it, the card will be in your mail. :)

  2. We just had our interview last May 6. It was pretty much straightforward and very much like what you have described. I did not get a passport stamp as well. The officer did not outright say that we are approved. I have also read a lot of recent reviews that said the same thing. So I would say what you have experienced is pretty standard at this point. Don't worry, your status will change in a day or two. :) You're done with all the stressful stuff so you can relax and breathe a bit.

    How's everyone doing?

    We got an update today!

    03/31/2022: Interview Scheduled

Will now have to wait for the mail to get the date.

Although I don't have my EAD yet. I was hoping to get that this month or next, but if we can just get the interview then that's even better. Best of luck to all of us! There's progress and hopefully we all get approvals and schedules in the next few weeks. 😊

    Update:

05/06/2022 - interview (Helena MT Office)

    05/07/20200 - case approved

    Thanks for the support everyone!

Hoping that those who are waiting will get some great news very soon!

@Raychelle congratulations to you and your husband for your interview date! How exciting😀🙏🏿

I hope everyone else is doing good👋🏿

No news on our front, so I continue to enjoy this time with my husband and family. It’s super hot here in Texas! No complaints though as I’d take this heat over cold days in Canada or London any day😄

All the best to those approaching their interview dates. It would be nice to hear from those of you who are still waiting and/or anyone else successfully getting EAD/AP.

    🌻

Thank you! Hope you get some great news soon too. It could be any day now so just continue to enjoy your time with your family. 😊

Hi everyone. We filed in October 2021, biometrics were in November, and I thought how great everything goes fast. Yet I am still waiting for EAD. I see a lot of people getting their cards, is anyone still waiting?

Same here, thought the same too but still waiting for EAD. The wait is making me so anxious.

Glad to see movement for other October filers though.

Oh man, fellow June 2020ers!!! Finally after a year of trying to get the fiancé to visit, rescheduling tickets six times from cancellations, he’s been here in the United States for almost a month on a B2 visa. Struggling with deciding to continue down the K1 path or just to marry and adjust status from here. I know things are largely getting better in many places with the pandemic, or at least normalizing, but going another year just seems so hard to do.  I guess just venting to the only group that would largely understand

Where are you on the K1 process?

Hiya, I heard about it and I sympathize with everyone affected by the Embassy closure.

I discussed this at length with my fiancé but we decided against it. We're not yet at the tipping point where we want to sue. Especially as I can travel to see him.

It's a very personal decision and there's no guarantee of success. You'll have to discuss with your fiancé if it's worth spending the money (a couple of thosand dollars to start, may grow bigger).

If you decide to join, good luck and may you get positive movement on your case soon.

Absolutely..... we have been discussing this since yesterday and odds are, we won't be joining. A lot of family and friends just said to wait things out as I can also just go there to see him, which I would probably be doing over the summer. Just wanted to explore options. For sure, joining would be a risk but there's really no telling when Manila would open or how soon they could process backlogs. Oh well.... But yeah, it all comes down to personal decisions and priorities. Thank you for weighing in, much appreciated! :)

  10. Hello guys! So just called NVC and they don't have our case number yet. But I know that could take up to 6 weeks these days so just patiently waiting.

So anyway, there is an onboarding for a case to go up in Manila. We were thinking of joining but I found out that Filipinos from Round 2 of Milligan v. Pompeo are still waiting on their interview schedule and they can't apparently get one yet because lockdowns (of different variations) are imposed in Manila again and the US Embassy is still not processing. So if this is the case, I wonder if it's still worth joining. Thoughts, anyone?

    Tagging @Adventine and  @Greenbaum

    Thank you for the inputs!

@Raychelle we'll be okay. Fortune favors the prepared... such as those who are motivated enough to track via spreadsheets ;)

😅🤣 the spreadsheets should do the trick..... oh by the way, you're going to the US next month right? would it be alright if I ask for updates? I'm planning to go  as well because it looks like foreign tourists are not going to be allowed here anytime soon

It's so odd, but I can only theorize that they are working on the petitions in batches, and we're probably at the bottom of the pile / someone's work queue. Oh well!

At the very bottom for sure... the last time I updated my monitoring there were 32 applications in my range that are not yet reviewed. This morning there was 30. So I would say ours is at the bottom 10 😅 I would throw a fit if there's only 5 applications left and we don't have the NOA2 yet.

Still no NOA2 for us, so we've submitted an outside processing time request. It's hard not to wonder what could possibly be holding up our approval, but I choose not to worry so much about things outside our control. We also choose to look at the positives: I'm visiting the US next month!

Us too! I've seen a number of July and August approvals too. I have also been monitoring the approvals via the tracker app and so far the trend is that applications caught in-between months or those at the beginning and tail-end of the months have the most delay in approvals, the ones in the middle always gets done first and this across months. I also wonder what could be holding the approvals.

Note: The USCIS Case Tracker app lets you set a range of WAC# before and after yours to see the status of those cases. Very slick tool to ascertain where you are in the processing timeline of USCIS compared to others.

@Greenbaum I have downloaded the app and didn't care to look much into it 'cause I thought it was just to track my number. BUT now that you've mention it, I see that you could get the range!!! I was wondering about that because it would be painstaking to look at them one by one 😅 Thank you very much for this tidbit!

Hello @Olga88 I would just like to ask if you know where the raw data for this table is coming from? I have seen this floating around FB and when I asked the people who posted they said that someone just compiles the data from the USCIS website. I have been trying to find this on the site but could not find any data sets or statistics like this posted on the site. Would you know where they are getting the data from?

i just called the US embassy in Bangkok and amazingly got a human on the phone, but unfortunately found out they are not accepting K1 applications right now.

they are accepting IR/CR1 application however

And I think even if they would be accepting right now, it would not matter right away because your petition has to be approved in the US first.
