My wife got her green card approved today!

The interview went really good! We arrive 15 minutes early and got seen right away. The lady we interviewed with was like on a zoom. She was really nice and asked me questions about me and our relationship like where was I born ( I showed her my birth certificate), when did we meet, and where did we meet. After that she started asking my wife questions about where are you from, when did you get married, date of birth, when did you arrived in the U.S., and our address then she started asking her the yes or no questions from form I-485. I showed her our marriage license and gave them a copy and she say my wife was approved! She didn't ask for any other documents because I submitted alot of docs before. She even mentioned it to us and showed us! It was a great experience for us!

Just went for interview this morning and status just changed to "new card is being produced"!

I was admittedly a little sloppy with the documents, so don't follow my example. Try your best to bring everything but if you can't get originals don't panic either. I got away with bringing minimal documents:
copy of birth certificate (officer asked for original but I gave copy and she accepted it) real marriage certificate  both of our passports documents to prove legitimate marriage: tax return, joint accounts, leases, bills, photos (around 10-12) previous student visas, EADs, etc. (wasn't asked for them) Questions are very cookie-cutter: how did you meet? spouse birthdays? parent-in-law names? spouse birth place? spouse's job? current address? We finished in maybe 15 minutes and officer said there was no red flags when asked.

Great experience in the end after a frustrating wait with EAD.

That's around 2 weeks ago. They reached out with an email asking me to fax the documents over after about a week.

    I faxed the following:
short cover letter succinctly explaining the situation job offer letter my parent's medical expenses (not HUGE but still hundreds per month) the original notice that they sent you
You should be able to fax documents online or at any print shop. Let me know if you need any more information!

I did submit an inquiry for my AP. They said to expect a response 10 days ago and still haven't heard back.

Hey guys! It's been a while.

I finally got the letter yesterday that my biometrics (code 3) appointment has been scheduled! 😁

I'm glad to see so many people on here have been seeing movement with their cases too! Hopefully all of us July filers will have our EADs in hand soon!

Oh Lord. They better give you your GC when you get out of that ASC! Lol
I've seen a lot of Jan/ Feb bio appointments got their EADs much faster so the delay might actually do you good. Keep us updated. I'm rooting for you!

USCIS just updated their processing times for i-765 (EAD) at NBC:

Seems like anything under 11.5 months (!) is considered normal processing time. This is crazy 😑

Yup 2 years. It's probably safe to start your medical soon, unless you have most of the vaccines already , then you can wait for an interview notice.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Who knows, maybe right after your bio they will immediately approve your EAD. Several people from September filers who had their bios this month are getting their EAD cards. Happy for them.

Went for my second biometrics appointment (first one wasn't well done) in NYC. Arrived at 2pm only to find out that they closed at 1:30pm due to the snowstorm.

Still no sign of EAD/AP getting approved. It is a not a great day 🙃
