Congrats! And best of luck with everything. I had my interview earlier this week, went great and got approved. Hopefully flying out late next week if I get my passport back.

Putting out positive vibes for those who have yet to receive their LNDs, keep at it and we will probably see more (as others have pointed out) now with the end of the student travel period.
  3. Thanks

Great news! Another one down! Keep an eye on those appointments several times a day, they randomly appear then disappear at the moment so you have to grab them when they crop up! Good luck!

My wife in LA has just spoken to her local Congressman’s office and they are now putting an inquiry in with the US Embassy. If you have the ability to do so, I would recommend you do the same.

    Hey,

So my wife just flew to US with our dog. She's an American citizen so they've gone ahead while I wait for my visa 😕.

Ok so this will be for a dog but it may be useful.
Pet passports are only valid until end of this year and will no longer be valid as new systems will come into play following Brexit. They are not cheap - about £150 I think - we got one because when we did, we thought (before COVID) we may come back to the UK beforehand. You do not need a pet passport to leave the UK. You do not need to liaise with Heathrow Animal Services or Animal Reception Centre (they only deal with inbound animal travel). There is no fee except if you pay for a service. Check the state - each US state has different requirements - California (for us) only required all the standard dog vaccines plus Rabies so we did that - if you haven't got it already - you should do it up to 3 months before travel. Again may be different for a cat My wife was able to secure an 'emotional support animal' request from our GP - it means your pet can travel with you in the cabin. Every airline that flies direct to the US will allow an 'emotional support animal' in the cabin. BA were amazing about it when we contacted them. There is no fee, the animal just has to not be over a specific size and weight. There is obviously the other option of cargo if you want.  Heathrow Airport staff did not have a clue what was going on. They literally didn't know. It was very funny. My wife told me that security just loved seeing an animal and when she got on the plane (this was June) there was hardly anyone on the flight so the cabin crew loved having a dog onboard. There are a multiple number of services that do all this for you where they take the pet the day before and you meet the animal and a representative when you touch down in the US.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions!

You guys are ahead of me, so beers will definitely not be on me ha my wife is there now with our dog, sucks that I haven’t had my LND yet but can’t really do much about it!

So my wife was born and raised there, so yeah a nice little group of friends and family! And I’ve ask a few friends to introduce me to colleagues and friends too as I’m in the same boat... it will be a brand new environment even though I’ve been there many times.

Lucky to be staying with family in WeHo but we are already starting to look at places in East LA probably! I’d love to live by the ocean but you don’t get as much for your money so maybe in a few years

Glad we got a nice little group, hopefully more! Happy to join a WhatsApp group or whatever.

It’s covered on the embassy website in the Immigrant visa instructions. There’s info about vaccinations,  what to bring to the appointment, and the medical questionnaire to fill out.

Thanks for sharing @Morgan5698 this is very useful.

I’m here trying to calculate your date of approval, my approval date, the date of the last approval before lockdown and the first day approvals restarted in May... to figure when I’ll be getting my LND ha

Guys I've just received my LND Number. A couple of weeks ago I sent a simple message on their contact form explaining I was now at 18 weeks. They sent A standard reply with a bunch of questions and I answered them not expecting to hear anything back as I've seen this done before. I've just received the following Email. I really hope this gives everyone a bit of hope that they are actually moving with this now. Maybe I got lucky of maybe it was due to the time it has been since approval (16 March) and they are processing these now and mine was easy to access as it was on its way through processing anyway.

I don't know about the NHS app but my GP is the Babylon App and I got my medical summary by emailing them - it was a PDF form that I can print out. Came through after a few weeks but you can make an urgent request and it can come instantaneously I think...

Hey guys, just an update from our end. I just received my I-130 approval letter (NOA2) this morning - my petition was filed on 6 March. It does seem like things are back up and running so sending out good vibes to everyone in London waiting for their I-130s back. 🤞
