Exactly this. Usually they send a RFE with a list of things you could send for proof of bona fide relationship. An affidavit off and on itself is not substantial evidence -anybody can write whatever to make you look good. Some people never send an affidavit and they are approved. It would be useful to read the exact RFE to help better.
I have gotten an answer to my question. Thanks to everyone that contributed I really appreciate

Funny cos affidavits are considered weak proofs but if that's what they are asking for, then the friend should get it.
There is no standard format. If you google it, you will multiple options that one should be able to customize to fit the need
Thank you

timeline says case is at NVC
Are you sure NVC wants an affadivit?
they are usually concerned with security and income
and US family would not know the relationship / they have not met , right?
and Nigeria affadivats can't be enforced by our laws, so useless
I am asking for a friend, her case is still at the USCIS. She got an Rfe to send an affidavit by 2 persons who have knowledge of the relationship

Please has anyone received an Rfe from USCIS requesting for an Affidavit from family members to show that the relationship is a genuine one and that know the couple? If yes can I get a format on how to write the letter

Follow the instructions as outlined in the RFE. Try and not read into what they want as an answer. Answer truthfully what they are asking for. So, from what you describe they are looking for you to answer the questions on the original RFE letter. If that is the case (I don't have the letter in front of me to determine their exact intent) then answer the questions on the RFE letter. Make a copy and send the original with your answers in the return envelope. Also, if they are asking for a signature on the RFE be sure to provide one. We have seen some who have missed this and had their case denied.
Ok thank you

No need to return your RFE by express mail. Use the envelope that came with the RFE to return your documents and the original letter.
Are we to also include the page of the original 129f form containing the question that we omitted to answer or just answer the question on the Rfe letter that we received because the question was written in the Rfe letter we got and they provided the box were we could answer the question.

Congratulations! I found that when waiting for something to happen on our journey, it was always best to stay away from checking. I used the apps and when something in our steps had a notification, it would come, and I would deal with it. Whether that was a document that needed to be completed or that something was confirmed that the adjudication was complete, and I was receiving a notification as such. That gave me so much peace of mind.
Now, join us in the DECEMBER 2020 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY thread and download the PDF file on the first post of the first page for tips, tricks, and hacks to follow your case to the embassy. I'll post both links below:
https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/752616-december-2020-k-1-noa2-to-nvc-to-embassy/We got the mail for Rfe. It was a box that we didn’t tick. Are we to pay for express shipping when shipping back the envelop to USCIS?

Ok we are all waiting for approvals right now. But one we are approved then what? Is it another wait ? If so what will we be waiting for exactly and for how long ?
You would have join the queue after approval or expedite your case. If your country embassy has started doing k1 interviews, then lucky you or else it’s wait, wait and wait

Father has to fly to her home country. Submit the online form for embassy interview for the born child abroad. Get all papers. And go to the interview. Make sure a child has a birth certificate with the father name in it and translated into English. But they might ask for dna test. It might take more time. Once they approved, they will get crba and passport for baby
@Olga88 Thanks so much. Would advice they get a dna test done when the father visits Nigeria. Because he hasn’t even seen the baby due to the shut down of our international airport

@SusieQQQ 's link is correct. https://ng.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/birth/ And a VISA will not be issued for any child that can derive citizenship from a parent.
I´d advise your friend and her fiance to get a free account here as well.
@SusieQQQ thanks alot. Will ask her to create her acct

Assuming it’s Nigeria (like your profile flag)

Note you can’t get a visa for the baby if it is in fact born a citizen. You (she, whoever) would need to get a US passport for the baby.

If the child isn't covered by CRBA then just add at the DS-160 stage.
@Paul & Mary what is the process of obtaining CRBA for the new born of a US citizen born in a foreign country
-
A friend of mine just had her 2nd baby for her US fiancé months after filing form I-129f and k2 for her daughter. However their petition is yet to be approved by the USCIS. How does she include her new born in the process so that they would all have to travel together to the US after her interview.

Some members of the aviation ministry are cashing out on a daily bases with the repatriation flight, that's why they are slow in opening up the aviation sector for international flight to resume. Corruption everywhere! God will expose them!
This is very true a lot of persons are traveling in and out of Nigeria with this evacuation flight. And since the ticket money are almost twice the usual amount I am sure the aviation sector are not in a hurry to begin international flight operation, since airlines are cashing out big time. Let’s just continue to pray for our country.

This exemption only applies to countries who were eligible for spouse immigrant visa. There have been a ban in Nigeria of immigrant visa for Spouse and relations since January even before the Covid became serious.
