Exactly this. Usually they send a RFE with a list of things you could send for proof of bona fide relationship. An affidavit off and on itself is not substantial evidence -anybody can write whatever to make you look good. Some people never send an affidavit and they are approved. It would be useful to read the exact RFE to help better.

I have gotten an answer to my question. Thanks to everyone that contributed I really appreciate

timeline says case is at NVC

Are you sure NVC wants an affadivit?

they are usually concerned with security and income

and US family would not know the relationship /  they have not met , right?

and Nigeria affadivats can't be enforced by our laws, so useless

    anyway,  https://www.rocketlawyer.com/family-and-personal/general-legal-matters/affidavits-and-statements/legal-guide/sample-affidavit

I am asking for a friend, her case is still at the USCIS. She got an Rfe to send an affidavit by 2 persons who have knowledge of the relationship

Follow the instructions as outlined in the RFE. Try and not read into what they want as an answer. Answer truthfully what they are asking for. So, from what you describe they are looking for you to answer the questions on the original RFE letter. If that is the case (I don't have the letter in front of me to determine their exact intent) then answer the questions on the RFE letter. Make a copy and send the original with your answers in the return envelope. Also, if they are asking for a signature on the RFE be sure to provide one. We have seen some who have missed this and had their case denied.

    Ok thank you

No need to return your RFE by express mail. Use the envelope that came with the RFE to return your documents and the original letter.

Are we to also include the page of the original 129f form containing the question that we omitted to answer or just answer the question on the Rfe letter that we received because the question was written in the Rfe letter we got and they provided the box were we could answer the question.

Congratulations! I found that when waiting for something to happen on our journey, it was always best to stay away from checking. I used the apps and when something in our steps had a notification, it would come, and I would deal with it. Whether that was a document that needed to be completed or that something was confirmed that the adjudication was complete, and I was receiving a notification as such. That gave me so much peace of mind.

Now, join us in the DECEMBER 2020 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY thread and download the PDF file on the first post of the first page for tips, tricks, and hacks to follow your case to the embassy. I'll post both links below:

We got the mail for Rfe. It was a box that we didn’t tick. Are we to pay for express shipping when shipping back the envelop to USCIS?

Father has to fly to her home country. Submit the online form for embassy interview for the born child abroad. Get all papers. And go to the interview. Make sure a child has a birth certificate with the father name in it and translated into English. But they might ask for dna test. It might take more time. Once they approved, they will get crba and passport for baby

@Olga88  Thanks so much. Would advice they get a dna test done when the father visits Nigeria. Because he hasn’t even seen the baby due to the shut down of our international airport

Assuming it’s Nigeria (like your profile flag)

Note you can’t get a visa for the baby if it is in fact born a citizen. You (she, whoever) would need to get a US passport for the baby.

Some members of the aviation ministry are cashing out on a daily bases with the repatriation flight, that's why they are slow in opening up the aviation sector for international flight to resume. Corruption everywhere! God will expose them!

This is very true a lot of persons are traveling in and out of Nigeria with this evacuation flight. And since the ticket money are almost twice the usual amount I am sure the aviation sector are not in a hurry to begin international flight operation, since airlines are cashing out big time. Let’s just continue to pray for our country.
