  1. We got the NOA2 by regular mail, of course, but everything else has been email. We received 2 emails after the package got to the embassy. A short email giving us the case number and a longer one listing the next steps. But we didn’t need them. As soon as our case went to ‘Ready’ we submitted the DS-160, made the payment, and scheduled the appts. We have only 2 concerns at this point 1. Will something go wrong at the medical checkup? (TB test), and 2. The CFO process is a big black hole of unknowns.
  2. Regarding the medical appt. Is that one day and done? I can fly her to Manila the day before the appt and fly her back home the day after? She says she heard from some places that they make you return the second day ‘sometimes’.
  3. DS-160 payment was processed today. She got an appointment for 17 October. Booking the medical now.
  4. Payment was processed. She got an appointment for 17 October. Booking the medical now.
  5. She paid the fee and setup up her account at the embassy website today. Told them where she would pick up the passport. Just waiting for the payment to get processed, then she can make the appts. Let’s go! Endgame!
  6. Super helpful. Thank you.
  7. Can you be a little more vague? What are you trying to say here?
  8. Is there an additional fee for the medical at St Luke’s?
  9. We submitted the DS-160 today. She will go to the bank and make the payment tomorrow. Endgame…
  10. You do the 134 for the visa. You will do the 864 when you do the Adjustment of Status to get the green card after your marriage.
  11. Thank you for this. Looking at the payment coupon you take to the bank, it calls for a reference number. I assume that is what you get after your submit the DS-160? Just because sometimes I need things ELI5: 1. She completes the DS-160, and then there is a link to submit it. 2. After submitting, she gets some receipt number needed to make the payment. 3. She takes the cash to RCBC and pays the fees, using the number from #2 above. 4. She can then go to https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-appointmentschedule.asp and schedule the interview. 5. Following that, St Luke’s can be scheduled. 6. When physical & interview are complete, start jumping thru the CFO hoops to reach the endgame. Is that about it? If so, you guys might want to put these steps in a FAQ or something somewhere. I’m sure many folks have the same questions. Thank you for your time. I truly appreciate it. Is been quite a road so far, but we can see the end finally.
  12. The fee is $220us? Is it the travel.us.gov website that you use to do all this?
  13. I’m trying to find out what is next. CEAC says the embassy will contact us with info on what we do next, but I hear every country is different. Some send info packets, some don’t. Hopefully someone that has been through it will chime in.
  14. Our case status went to Ready today! Less than 2 days after In Transit. Crazy times ahead.
  15. CEAC says we will be contacted regarding the next steps. I understand every country is different. Will the embassy send us an info packet? Or do we just go ahead and find out how to submit the DS-160, get the receipt, and make our appointments?
  16. We were under the impression that you still must attend the same course, it’s just now impossible to take it before you have the visa in hand. You still get the certification to present at departure, and I don’t think you need to have all your supporting paperwork in hand at the airport.
