Did you mail or upload?

Today was a mixture of good and bad. The good: Received our letter for online case tracking and set that up. Received our biometrics appt letter. The bad: Biometrics was scheduled for today, 5 hours before we got the letter. Called and rescheduled. We haven’t received it, but the case shows an RFE coming. Statement of support. Please see my post in the general AOS section, maybe you have input.

Question 2. Is there a preference between mailing or uploading responses?

We filed our AOS and received an RFE, could not verify sponsor meets minimum requirements for sponsorship. I am a retired, disabled veteran. I receive VA disability and SSDI payments every month that totals a great deal more than the minimum requirement of $26k. I do not file tax returns, as my VA disability is non-taxable and my SSDI total is below taxable threshold. The iRS refuses to accept returns from me, because nothing is pair or owed. I sent letters from VA and SSA stating how much I receive every month, and noted those totals on our 864 form. I'm not sure what else to send. Do I just send another copy of the same 864 with the same supporting evidence and hope they figure it out? Thank you for your advice, Michael

We received all 3 NOAs today. Dated 16 Feb. Progress.

We sent to Phoenix box, arrived 26 Jan. Took 25 days to cash our check, still no text notifications nor mail notice. Been 29 days since delivered.

USCIS didn’t cash or check until 25 days after delivery. I know it hard, but it will happen.

Well, well, well. 25 days after delivery to the dock, they cashed our check today. No text yet, but a positive step nonetheless.

That’s great. Happy to hear that. That leaves only us now…

Excellent news. Which lockbox?

Looks like there are 3 of us in limbo. All I can guess is that our package was rejected for some reason and it takes them a few weeks to send it back. If so, at least we will know what is missing and can resubmit without issue. I hope.

Same boat here. Coming up on 3 weeks since it was delivered. I did try Emma and finally got a live chat with someone. Gave name, address, birthday and phone number only to be told there was no record of our case in their files. Ho hum.

Yes. The UPS tracking noted delivery to the dock and was signed for by De Jesus.

What kind of note did you finally receive after 4 weeks? Text, email, snail mail?

In our case, we sent a check in our package via UPS and have received absolutely nothing. No refusal, rejection, notification, package return. Nothing at all. It got signed for by De Jesus at the dock, then disappeared.

Awesome. Now if we could just get USCIS to acknowledge receiving our package, maybe we can got in this speed train.

Heh heh. Is that not the most frustrating thing in the world? Watching others getting their biometrics already and we wait for a simple notification that they got our papers? Ugh. 😭 I mean, good for them. But, COME ON! Maybe it’s a UPS thing…

We only sent 2 photos, but we really don’t care about the 765 out the 131, even tho we included those. We will deal with RFEs on those if necessary, it’s just the 485 we care about. At least an RFE would mean they accepted the paperwork. Would be better than this ‘nothing’ we have now.

Thanks. I read another thread that talked about calling, but the recommendation is to wait until 30 days to call. So I will give it a couple more weeks before I call. The K1 wait was agony, but at least we got quick confirmation that they received our application. BooHoo. Poor poor me. 😂 Trying to keep a sense of humor.

I don’t know where you heard that. We sent ours to Pheonix, as per the USCIS website. UPS. But ours has disappeared. It was confirmed received in Tempe, at the ‘dock’ by a guy named De Jesus, 2 weeks ago, and then…. Nothing. Check has not been cashed. No text. No email. No returned papers. Nothing. Just POOF. Disappeared. . Rather frustrating when others that sent theirs the same time to Chicago box already have biometrics scheduled.

We filed with UPS 2 weeks ago. Got delivery confirmation to the lockbox in Tempe, AZ. Check has not been cashed, no notifications from USCIS at all. Nothing. What is this customer service number of which you speak?

Thanks for the positivity. I see so many folks send to the Chicago lockbox and things speed along. I’ve not seen any others that sent to the Pheonix lockbox. 😕
