  1. Thanks! We are more than ready. I see you are Philippines as well. Have you been researching the CFO requirement? Looks like that will be the final hurdle, and looks to possibly be a considerable pain in the tukus.
  2. NVC actually sent me an email. If you can believe that. This was the last line of the email: Thank you for your patience in the immigrant visa process.
  3. Now THAT is a helpful post. Thank you. Even if the answer was not what I was hoping for. 😝 Having spent quite a bit of time in the PH, dealing with immigration and visa extensions, can anyone tell me if there are ‘fixer’ services available in Manila that can streamline the CFO process after the interview and receiving the paper back? Having spent all this time and money to get to the endgame, I have no problem greasing the wheels if we can.
  4. That’s the problem. She does not have the visa yet. We were told she can take the course now and email a pic of the passport and visa when received. Technically, the K1 is a non-immigrant visa, and by this email, the course is not required. Rules change like the weather in the Philippines.
  5. I found the following from travel.state.gov If that is so, and the email is correct, then K1 visa holders are no longer required to take the CFO course. .
  6. I ask because we got an email regarding a class we thought she had to take before she can get on a plane. Supposed to attend next Monday. Now she gets an email, included below, that screws everything up, unless K-1 is a non-immigrant visa. Then supposedly, she is not required to take the class. So. K-1. Immigrant or non-immigrant? I hear different answers all the time here, especially when we are tracking the progress on CEAC. Thank you.
  7. We secured an appointment for the CFO class, supposed to attend next Monday. We were assured that we could attend without having a visa in the passport. Today, she got the email below. I won’t pretend to know how to decode it. Is it true that the K1 is a non-immigrant visa? If so, this email says CFO is no longer required. Pretty confused. I appreciate any illumination you can give. Thank you.
  8. Silly, I know. But what do we answer here? I am assuming yes, because we are here because of the K1. But is this possibly asking about past filings? Thank you.
  9. I sent inquiries every week. I’d send on a Friday and usually got a response by the following Thursday.
  10. I-129F NOA2 : 2023-07-11 NVC Received : 2023-08-10 Date Case #, IIN, and BIN assigned : 2023-08-24 6ish weeks for ours.
  11. Ours took almost 2 weeks. I was getting worried, then it finally arrived.
  12. I’m a little foggy on your timeline. Your ceac screencap says case created 23 Aug. Does that mean your case went from ‘At NVC’ to ‘Ready’ at the embassy in 9 days, and you seemingly completely bypassed ‘In Transit’? We received a response to our public inquiry that our case was created 23 Aug as well, but has not moved from ‘At NVC’. I am obviously confused on some detail.
  13. When I use this site to check, I get an error if I choose non-immigrant. I get my status correctly when I use immigrant.
  14. Here is what I used for my inquiries: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html You can attach your NOA2 and previous reply screengrabs.
  15. Thank you, ma’am. And what exactly do I do with those 3 numbers? I think I remember something about the Julian date or something? Edit: We can submit the DS-160 now?
  16. I get this in the CEAC website. Is the invoice ID what you get when you submit the DS-160? Thanks!
  17. First was exactly one month after NOA2. My first response was that the case was at NVC buy awaiting data entry. Second inquiry, one week later, was the same. One week later, the third inquiry, sent last Saturday, was the case number.
