    Phew. So interview is done.
It was done in 1.5 hours. Feels pretty fast honestly.

First you go through security checks, then you get a ticket to the first window. Very nice lady got all my documents required for interview including proof of relationship. Then I was sitting waiting for the interview itself. I took around 40 minutes since there was lady before me. After her interview it took around 20 minutes to get to mine.
Got called to the window, the was a guy asking questions and lady behind him checking on him.
    Questions where
Tell me about you husband. Didn't really know what to say so just told them random facts about him lol, he asked also to tell him how we met, when we started dating and living together.
Other questions were what are our plans in the US, who is my sponsor, if I know his family. That's pretty much it.
Since medical result wasn't sent there yet we got AP and waiting for the results.

Thanks definitely will keep things posted here. Can't wait to get the interview over with, whole immigration during pandemic is definitely stressful knowing that you also need to figure out the way to travel with 2 dogs and a cat when options are so limited, but I decided to take one step at a time and just receive a visa first 😂

I believe you still sent it to NVC and they forward it to the correct embassy. Enrolling in school is a legitimate reason to expedite so i’d say go for it!

It was scheduled through the NVC. The emails says “The National Visa Center completed its processing of your immigrant visa application and forwarded it to the US Embassy/Consulate General, where an immigrant visa interview has been scheduled.”

Their website doesn’t say anything about their specific operations. Just the generic Covid statement about limited services being available. I didn’t contact the Embassy. Based on other posts, I figured I wouldn’t gain any new information by doing so. I was checking my emails and ceac website daily.

Hi all! Just received an interview date for July 29 from the Tbilisi embassy! Just an update for my fellow Georgian applicants

(I documentarily qualified on June 17, so it took one week to receive my interview date.)

    Hello everyone
So here is a little overview of my medical exam in Kyiv yesterday.

So they scheduled my medical on the 24th at 8am
. I got there exactly at specified time, all tests are performed on the third floor of the clinic. When I got to that floor I saw 4 people sitting there, only later I understood they are all here for the same reason.

First was urine test and x-ray, that was super fast and done in 10 minutes and that's when things got terribly slow.

You don't know what the next test will be, so you just sit in a corridor with the rest of people and wait till they call you. The next blood test took around 45 minutes to be done because the rest of the people went before me. Then it was weight, height and blood pressure tests. It took another hour or so. Finally, there was a medical history check where the doctor asks about diseases you have or had, mental illness, and checks your body and lungs. Personally, for me, the wait felt like it took forever. The first 3 people took around 20-30 minutes each, and the last 2 (including me) took like 5 minutes. I don't know what the reason was for the long wait, but I finally heard that my condition is fine and I'm good to immigrate.

So in total it was 4.5 hours of the medical exam and the results won't be in time for the interview, because my interview is scheduled on the 30th of June at 10:30am, so they told me they would send it to the embassy directly around 11am on the 30th.

From what I heard, they were allowed to give only 1 envelope per day, so they found a person who could pick it up themselves and everyone else's results would be sent directly to the embassy.

As for interviews in Kyiv people had them on the 30th,1st, and some other dates but all were relatively soon. I believe they resumed work at a pretty good pace.

Well, I have been doing this even to his supporters. To tell them feel our pain, this is not fair, we are a family too - we are immigrants like you were 100 years ago. This land belongs to the people. We can’t live without each other for long.
I wish there was a quicker way to at least stop this executive order, not sure to who we should tell our stories and our pain.

It wouldve been nicer to pass this order through congress. That’s what they are built for.

If I knew that my future could be severely affected by someone’s signature or order, I would have thought differently about my career and my life.

I try to reach to attorneys to see if they have a way to fight this right. It is my right to have my wife and kids with me.

  16. Thanks

Hi, yes, it is definitely frustrating for just about everyone. Just a few important things to note:

1- No embassies have started routine visa services. We only have reports of embassies resuming CR-1/IR-1 or K-1 cases, either rescheduled from those that were cancelled due to COVID-19 or those that were approved for expedite or considered emergencies. These are mostly CR-1/IR-1, which are not considered routine visa services. On June 17th, the DOS designated these as "mission-critical"-not routine. The worldwide suspension of routine visa services is still in effect.

2-As we have seen from individual reports, quite a few embassies have started scheduling  CR/IR1 appointments over the past week. Only around 3 have updated their FB or webpages. A couple have sent an e-mail reply indicating this. Most have not. Based on this,  you probably won't see any public update. You will most likely be contacted directly by your embassy. When? That will depend on your embassy and how soon they start mission--critical visa processing for the children and spouses of US Citizens and any non-immigrant visas like K-1s or tourist visas.

Just my two cents. I hope it is helpful and I pray you get an interview scheduling e-mail or a call soon.

Yes, maybe K1 exempts from this ban but embassies are not going to process it now. My friend got email today from Warsaw embassy, she had appointment for interview at 08.06.2020. When they will resume process for K1 nobody knows.

Guys! We are the Monday DQ!!! 😬😬 Oh I’m about to lose it - the message just came in.
We are F2A as you all now. Submissions on March 31st and some of the civil docs on April 9.
We did not submit the PCC due to covid and we used the I-864ez.
Messages (that are not opening of course) are regarding passport and PCC - but no concerns there. My hubbies passport expires in September so we probably know what they want, and the PCC obvs needs to be presented at interview.
    Such a relief.

I’m happy to share to this group that I have received my interview appointment today and my schedule is on July 24!
I have been following and reading comments here in Visa Journey which somehow has been a great tool and encouragement for me.
We filed on August 2019, got our NOA2 - May 12 2020 and NVC on the next day. Documentarily qualified on June 4 and received interview appointment from NVC today, June 23. We checked our NVC case status too and it did say At NVC still.  Oh well, it doesn’t matter!
I don’t know if it helped but I did send  an email to NVC.state.gov/inquiry and US Consulate Singapore last Friday. In my email I was politely inquiring matters pertaining to these USA Government offices if they have worked on my case.
I feel very lucky to have found Visa Journey. Cheers!
