    My case is expedited so it's difficult to say with 100% accuracy that this is for CR1/IR1 cases in your country whether expedited or not. I have seen others that were not expedited get this email and they have had the same process as me who is expedited. I can only thinks the consulates and embassies are pushing the spouse visas through now but doing things a bit differently.

    Like here we have been requested to have our medical results before we can schedule out interview. Normally we are given an interview date and then we schedule a medical. Life is backwards but interviews are happening 🤗

    yea its the same for us here in germany.

    cant get a medical without the appointment at embassy being scheduled, just a few exceptions  but thats rare.

    dang, really nervous about monday now lol

    This means you'll be scheduling your interviews with the embassy directly. My case is expedited and I received the same email shortly after receiving my expedite approval notice. This is good news for you all promise! You should receive another email from NVC stating that your case is being sent to the embassy and from there you'll hear about scheduling your interview from the embassy. Your case status on CEAC will change to "In Transit" and a few days after it will change to "Ready". This when the embassy should start contacting you about scheduling.

    EVEN IF THE CASE IS NOT EXPEDITED?!?!

    😳😳

    i only read about this of expedited cases!

    or is that for non expedites as well?

    I just received the same email (9 mins ago) that Immigration appointment canceled at the US EMBASSY FRANKFURT. but we never received the interview date.

    We have been waiting to receive interview date since 6/2 when our documents and everything were accepted and we received the email that NVC will work with embassy to schedule the interview. and Now today just got the email that our Interview appointment is canceled.

    i found this just very fresh post from somebody else. saying that the case might be sent to embassy now?

    im on the same schedule as you are!

    embassy in germany is doing expedites and a few non immigrant visas only at the time and sending them emails is just you waiting for an email them saying they are currently understaffed.. ( to your other thead you have asked )

    also its so weird.. i dont know really why and now everyone’s confused with the never scheduled interview  😅

    i believe i read something somewhere but it wasnt here probably idk! cant remember.

    if somebody has an idea, let us know

  5. I also have a tab open on this page

    https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/international-travel-document-news/1580226297.htm

    And here is number part of number one of their restriction for Germany:

    Published 06.07.2020 (july, 6th)
    1. Passengers are not allowed to enter.
    This does NOT apply to:
    - passengers arriving from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or United Kingdom;
    - nationals of Germany;
    - passengers with a residence permit issued by Germany;
    - residents of Australia, Canada, Georgia, Montenegro, New Zealand, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay;
    - passengers with a "D" Visa issued by Germany;
    - husband, wife, child and registered partner of nationals or residents of Germany;

    is it better to just email the border control of germany and ask them?
    at least we would see us even if he'd had to quarantine and i gotta work, i also would pay For a test if that is something americans allow and makes it easier to see his wife

    Would he consider moving to you permanently?

    We were thinking about it, at least until everything had calmed down

    but then again we are currently at the last step of our cr1 visa ( only medical and interview is missing ) so if he'd move here we would have to start all over again with the Case.
    Our PD is November 19, '19.

    So basically we're in the middle of desicions, also because he is not employed atm in the US, but then again, it would be better for him to have a job and to work and make money so he can be able to sponsor me without a co sponsor!

    It both has pro's and cons but since i said from the very beginning that i want to move to him to the US it may make more sense to just stay where we are maybe 😔

    If you are talking about the US spousal visa process, absolutely.  No qualified sponsor = no US spousal visa.  He will have to show adequate income after re-locating back to the US...or adequate assets....or a joint sponsor...as well as evidence of US domicile.

    Yea i was thinking the same thing!
    do you happen to know if it would affect the visa if he comes visiting for a month?

  8. My husband is USC and im EUC in Germany.

    he is currently seeking a job in the US because of being 'my sponsor' for my currently in proccess of CR1 visa
    We asked already his parents but they cant because of their own medical bills.

    anyway i had a crazy idea over the past week and im again thinking about it because the embassy here in germany still might be closed for another 2 months.

    Since he is a USC and im a European Citizen, born in Germany,

    is it possible for him to come over even if he has no job at the moment?
    Might it be possible that he obtains a permanent residence card here to get a job here? Because im thinking it might take longer than end of August when they reopen internationally.

    Its positive for both of us because his mental health Isnt good and since noone can be there with him to support him And to go to therapy etc i thought it'll be helpful for him if he can come live with me for a bit it would also strengthen our relationship alot because we realized that seeing each other for two weeks isnt a cool thing where we could connect easily again.

    So my questions

    can he visit or even live here, even if unemployed USC?

    will it effect our visa process if he has no current income in the US when closer to interview appointment at embassy?

    what do you think and would you as well consider this move?

    i also thought alot about pro's and cons and there might be more cons if he could move here and get a job for a while but thats nothing we cant figure out after all this.

    please be honest but not too honest.

    i understand if you say thats too dumb of an idea, but i just had to ask and see if it is possible. Cause this is our last idea of getting us together for a bit longer while we're separated because of the virus. 😭😔

    thank you

    (move if in wrong thread)

    Yeah, I'm not going to trust an article in a general interest newspaper to get it right immediately. I want to see the EO itself and I want to see actual immigration attorneys give their opinion on what it means. We all know major media outlets don't know their rear end from their elbow when it comes to anything relating to immigration.

    Im a very anxious person for a few years now

    so this confuses me alot by just reading it
    But you are right!
    I shouldnt read too much into it before the official eo has even been posted.

  10. I told my husband to apply for a visa to germany if they will extend this til the end of the year!
    might that possible even if we are only 1 step away from getting me my green card?

    im seriously considering every tiny bit to be together with him because that is damaging our marriage big time!

    Lordy. Does anyone know if they'll announce anything on another feed?  Or another press briefing? Does this mean since he didn't say anything the EO is over? Or will he do a press conference tomorrow exactly on the 23rd?

    I was looking through any news afterwards but i could find anything.
    also embassies didnt announce anything yet, so i give it a rest for tonight and will look again tomorrow.
    tears on our nerves but all we can do is wait until we hear it from them 🙄😣
