    1. I dont think so because your son has nothing to do with your wifes case. Your son already has his US passport, your wife can inform the embassy about your son during her interview and that will help your case a little bit too. 2. You have to bring updated AOS on interview but im not sure if you have to upload to CEAC before interview, im also confused on this question.

    Wow i have never heard of that but i know terms of AOS only the joint sponsor must prove that they have a job and if they have a job than this proves domicile. I never heard about US citizens needing to prove domicile to sponsor their spouse or family member to come to USA. @pushbrk@Chancycan you guys confirm this?

    She doesnt need to prove domicile she already has a US passport and she already has a joint sponsor for her AOS, so she doesnt need domicile at all.

    We are all fed up with this i have been waiting 4 years for my wifes case and im a US citizen, but dont worry it seems like the embassy is going a little bit faster now. Yep thats true since she already has a joint sponsor than it should matter if she has a job or not.

    Yes thats exactly what im saying, if you have a USA passport you can go to pakistan and live for as long as you want, domicile is only needed when your applying for a USA passport but you already have one so that does not apply to you. I have visited my wife 5 times since i applied for her IR1 visa case.

    What do you mean if you are allowed to travel back to pakistan and how long are you allowed to stay there? if your a US citizen you can go travel back to pakistan and stay as long as you want If your US green card holder than you can go for max 6 months to pakistan there are ways around this though you can file with uscis and you can stay up to i believe 1 year BUT I WOULD NOT DO THIS because it can cause problems for your US citizenship. Sorry but nothing we can do about the slow wait times at islamabad embassy, the process right now is about 20-24 months, my wifes been waiting 13 months so others have been waiting longer.

    3 years?🤣 my wife is waiting since oct 2019 and she most likely still has another year left. Its taking 2 years JUST FOR INTERVIEW at Islamabad. Embassy is slow because they are short staffed and because afghanistan embassy shut down and now all those afghan cases are going to islamabad so thats why.

    Correct my wife is DQ Feb 2022 and as of last month the embassy was doing June 2021 cases, so yes around 20-24 months .

    @podeenawe still didnt get update about any IL interviews sent this month? Or has someone just not announced there IL?

    Uh ok i understand now, sorry no clue how long it takes for expedited interviews to be scheduled, but it will take atleast months.

    What do you mean? Is your wifes case DQd from NVC? And when was your DQ?

    Yes sir but do you think just giving the officer the new passport on the day of interview is also fine? Would you recommend that? Because if thats the case than should i also update my tax papers and all of my affadavit of support paperwork because i submitted that a year ago and now those are not valid because you need current taxes for affadavit of support. Also 1 more question my wife and i also have a child now should i inform the embassy about him? My child already has USA passport from one of the Pakistan consulates or should we just not tell them because he has nothing to do with her visa case. I think best option would be to tell them about my wifes stolen pakiatan passport and about our child at the day of her visa interview. Let me know what you think Sir, thank you.

    Yah thats what i also think that if you get DQd than your already in line but if you upload new documents than i heard you get a new DQ date and right now in pakistan it takes LITERALLY 20-24 months for interview and my wifes already waiting for 13 months so i dont want to let that 13 months go to waste. But yes lets see what others have to say, thanks for the help.

    Yes but im afraid if i update her new passport than the NVC might push her case back and i dont want that because shes already been waiting for her interview for 13 months. So thats the issue with that

    Hello everyone, recently my wife had her purse stolen, and inside her purse was her pakistani passport. The purse and passport are gone she filed a police report, however my wife has her IR1 case DQd from NVC and is just waiting for her IR1 visa interview, however that will take atleast 10 more months. The issue is on CEAC and all her documents i submitted her old passport, but that is stolen now, so should i upload my wifes new pakistani passport to CEAC? Or just wait until her visa interview and inform the officer about it? And also would this be any problem for her visa case? Thank you everyone.

    Nobody knows how much for each group, however IR1 and CR1 get priority because theres spouse and children involved.We dont know how many letters go out each month but when ever someone gets an interview than they update us here or on facebook and thats how we know what case the embassy is doing because they go in order. Hope that helps.

    Yes that is correct and there should be more interview letters going out this month. Average time for interview is 20-24 months after DQ

    Correct F21 visas take longer than IR1 and CR1 probably 1.5 time or even double the time

    Might not be they got skipped, when we say the islamabad embassy has covered up to June 4 2021 cases we are talking about IR1 AND CR1 cases meaning the spouses of US Citizens. Many people are uneducated and dont even know there own visa category. It could be those online people you see are F4 or F2 visas or mabye like what someone else said mabye it takes couple days to receive the interview letter for those IR1 and CR1 cases.

    My wife is also waiting for her interview at islamabad and her DQ date was Feb 10, 2022. And right now islamabad is currently giving interviews for people who were DQd on May 17 2021. @James1234if your parents JUST got DQd than expect atleast 1.5 year - 2 year wait. I been waiting for exactly 1 year for my wife and theres still no update on her interview.

    The way things are going right now in Islamabad i would say you would get your interview in atleast summer of 2024

    Theres only 1.5 month difference between our Dq cases brother. Your DQ december 2021 and im Feb 2022.
